Crazy shop projects.
« on: November 10, 2018, 12:19:00 pm »
So I do allot of weird projects here and there, some get shown some don't;)

But recently I got asked to build a Sporran not my thing really and I'm not that familiar with them but I decided to take a stab at it with my own style of sorts. So I made all the hardware and whatnot to build it out. I'm still working on it, I've gotta make the belt of sorts but the Sporran itself is done;)

If guys are interested in something like this feel free to shoot me a note. It's not up on the site and I'm not sure how I'll do all of that yet anyhow. But I figured if there was interest I don't mind building some more of them either.

Also should mention my wonderful wife is responsible for the chicken feather dressing up;) I just made the rest of it;)

Interesting design.  Not really an analog to any of the more traditional ones I've seen but a nice effort all the same.

Yeah it's a collaboration with Sean from on here, basically he gave me broad ideas, I tightened them up and came up with a semi traditional shape/design but with a kinda post apocalyptic style thrown in for good measure. Kinda had an inspiration of sorts of a rustic look to it.

But it was a fun project allot more fun than replicating a traditional design;)

     :hmm

You ever think of making traditional-ish satchels?

Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.

Nope;) I always hoped Sarah would take up making CCW purses but she had no interest. But if there is demand for it maybe;)

Nope wasn't a part of the project;) Could have done a rig within one, but this is rather small for gun carry since this is around 7x6in. so semi traditional size wise;)

I like how it looks like an old iron nail and latch on it.

If I ever get around to kilting myself I may have to hit you up.

Dunno if I'd sporran though since I'll need belt loops to pack a .44 redhawk and a Cold Steel bowie.
