Just as the title says. They got a big, fatty contract so they'll be staying in anti-gun NY.

Are you telling us that you wouldn't avoid the huge cost of moving if someone was giving you $80 million?

If my facilities needed a 20 million dollar update and were in NY state?  The bribe would need to be much bigger.  In the long term a move to a right to work state could  have been a better choice.  Current ownership in not concerned about the long term,

They're going down hill in terms of quality. The decision to sell out to anti-gun NY is indicative of their need for money. Perhaps they're in bigger trouble than they let on? Or they're spineless?

They're owned by FG, which (IIRC) is not owned by 'gun people.'  Any decision that makes them a quick buck, or saves a dime, is going to be their course of action.

I have my 870, and no other Remington products are appealing to me. I guess I'll just keep my money going to companies that are doing the right thing in my eyes.

I'll buy the best gun for my purpose. I don't really care where it's made, who it's made by, who makes money from it. Just like I watch movies that entertain me and I don't care about the political views of the actors. I don't pay them for politics, I pay them to entertain me.

If the company has wronged me (like Taurus, Walther, and a few others), or makes junk, I won't do business with them anymore. But if their only sin is location, I'll buy the product that suits me.

That said, I never understood the love affair with the 870. I have a Mossberg 500 that does everything an 870 does. I have two Mossberg 930s that beat any semi-auto Remington has ever put out. The 700 used to be the end-all-be-all of the bolt gun world, but Savage is catching up, especially in the aftermarket, and for a lower price.
