DOJ: AR-15 not inherently military

"...the government expressly acknowledges that non-automatic firearms up to .50-caliber – including modern semi-auto sporting rifles such as the popular AR-15 and similar firearms – are not inherently military."

I seriously doubt this will make it to the nightly news.

    Too bad there wasn't a ruling that "military guns" aren't protected by the second amendment like .... "non" military guns are ....    ;)

    Precisely. Classify the devices whichever way you like, but the only thing our forefathers were clear on is that free people are armed.

    Attempting to control human behavior through banning inanimate objects is doomed to failure from the onset.
    Didn't work with booze.
    Doesn't work with drugs.
    Won't work with firearms.

    May as well order the tide back.
