If they're looking for programs to cut the navy has a couple fatally flawed disasters the LCS being one. The San Antonio class being another.
Though they were a fine ship in their day we could retire the rest of the perry class frigates too. The 19 or so we have left are basically unarmed at this point. They removed the SAM system and the harpoons. South Koreans would probably buy them if we offered. They're lacking ASW ships and that's the only thing the perry class are good for now. They'd have to tag along with a destroyer for safety though. Throw an ASM at a perry and they're pretty helpless now.
