Vz58/2008 Heat shield
« on: December 02, 2014, 02:43:40 pm »
I know a lot of the vz2008 rifles have been sold lately since they have been going cheaper than most pistol.....I got 2 myself.

Big complaint many have is the stock "beaver barf" handguards don't do anything to disipate heat.  I found a guy on Facebook in a Vz58 group that is making inserts.  His name is Chris Stone and is making them from .045 thick aluminum coated with ceramic paint resistant up to  2000 degrees.....they just pop in your existing hand guards and seen to fit quite snug without the need for any adhesive.  $20 including shipping.

Chris' contact info and PayPal account is irishcrow88@yahoo.com.

I got a chance to shoot with mine yesterday quickly before it got too dark and they do work.  And of course, I am not financially connected in any way with these heat shields.

I bought one and promptly put 300 rounds through it. Then I put hand out with water (it was onfire) so i went home and changed out everything:

Looks nice,  I don't think I've seen one with that kind of furniture before.

    It's all ZAB

completely solves the "burning your hand off the end of your arm" problem with the foregrip and also the "steel folder from hell butt sttock" problems.
