Is it just me or by the third shot does he appear to be questioning the wisdom of removing it from the vehicle mount?

Sure. You just can't see anything particularly small, unless you've got a s___load of magnification.

In which case it will take all day just to find your target.

Knowladge is finding something that can be done.

Wisdom is knowing whether or not to do it  ;D

Nice, really awesome, I'd like to shoot it a couple of times.....

But I'll stick with a .50.     Cheaper ammo, less recoil, and I really don't think I'll be seeing the need to shoot at 5,000 yards.  if I shoot at a Mile+, it had BETTER be launching AT LEAST 2 pounds of high explosive.  Eliminates those near misses.

True dat. I had a heck of a time spotting prairie dogs just a couple hundred yards out at 9x.

I can't see shooting at something smaller than a full sized truck at that 5k yards.

If you hit it with DU at that range, anything near the truck is a hit.

As cool as that 20mm is, finding projectiles for it is difficult.
The Anzio I want is the one that has the 20mm case necked down to .50.  The Anzio 20/50 rifle.  It's like a .50 Super Ultra Magnum...
I remember the guy from Anzio saying the velocity was 3600 FPS or something to that effect.  Almost a grand faster than the BMG's 2700!

I'd be the first guy flopping on the ground to get behind this thing.  Any time someone drags out some brutally kicking firearm I'm always the first sucker to line up to try it.  I'm not sure why that is.

A 20/50 does sound a bit more appealing to own though.

Forgive me for what is probably an ignorant question but I  wonder what the smallest projectile one could neck down a 20mm case to accept?  Could you get one down to .30?  .22?  .17?  Maybe neck one down to 50 or 30 and use a sabot to carry a tungsten or DU dart like a miniature main tank gun round.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—forever.

What, like this?

Of course there's already SLAP ammo for some guns http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/slap.htm but as you neck down bigger and bigger capacity cases to smaller and smaller bore diameters you really get a lot of bore erosion= very short effective and accurate barrel life. You even see this (to a lessor extant) in some "mild" calibers like .243 and 25-06.

If you load that with powder any faster than Kingsford it's a pipe bomb.

It's too long to handle properly, probabley weighs more than I do, has no useful value, can't be used for hunting and costs more than some cars. :scrutiny

Can't wait until I can shoot one!! ;D ;D

For a mere $10,500, you can have the rifle, AND suppressor.
