It's real... but I've no information about this.

All I've got to say is WANT.

Evidently it's electronic... so no mechanical linkage to the trigger.  VERY interesting.

It's about damned time. I floated this idea 13 years ago.

Can there be some issue with electronic triggers and the NFA? Would it not be stupidly easy to make it full auto if electronic?

It would be stupidly easy to do exactly that.

The only workaround I've been able to think of is to have all the electronics and the trigger solenoid epoxy potted so that any modification would be at least as difficult as doing something like drilling an autosear pivot pin hole on an AR.

I know making full auto weapons is not hard mechanically as well.

Do we know of any NFA rulings on electronic trigger controls?

E-Triggers are Da Bomb on Paintball Markers.
Installing one into a gun like an AR-15 would be rather simple as well.  It's not happened because the ATF frowns upon the technology.
However it's been used in Bolt Action rifles and .22 Match pistols and Air Pistols.

I have built a few RC planes from the ground up. So I always assumed it would be quite easy to control a trigger/sear with a simple servo.

A servo (defined as an actuator that uses positional feedback to allow it to be driven to an exact position) is overkill for controlling a trigger. All you need is a solenoid (an electromagnet with a movable core).

Solenoid is the way to go.  Servos are also slower and would have a longer delay between trigger pull and bang while a solenoid would have a faster response and is also easier to fit into a smaller space.

I was honestly just thinking of a way to redneck it up to shoot. There were some linear servos laying on my desk so it looked stupid easy to just rig them up to push a trigger.

Solenoid would also likely be a bit safer as it would not get 'stuck' once out of radio control distance, I assume.
