Two many guns was one of the many reasons my ex wife gave me for her decision to divorce me.

Still have the guns though!

Made it to the range today with the Tavor and a Colt 6920 with very low miles. I had only had the colt out at an indoor range once. This was the first time with the Tavor. I papered both at 25 and then just plinked stuff. Running the tavor off the bench sucked because the trigger is brutal. Firing it off hand as completely different. Im impressed- this thing wants to be shouldered and fired like a rifle should be. I really like it! The colt made better groups. I ran some federal 55's, some wolf 55's, and some of my own handloads done with a 62gr fmj bullet. Both guns fired everything I fed them without any issues. The tavor did fail to hold open after one magazine ( I was letting a guy from a local sheriffs dept shoot it when that happened)  but thats it. I ran the mag that came with the tavor, a new 40rd p-mag, and a tango down arc mag, and they both liked them all. Was a good way to spend an afternoon! I need to do this a LOT more!

The one on the top is mine.
The one on the bottom I just got yesterday for my eldest son.  It needs some work and some new parts for personal taste reasons, but it is good to go as is.  We're going to replace the stock and pistol grip, and then repaint it.

Nice! Well done, sir. Will it co-witness your irons through the RDS?

Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.
Ray Chapman, used to say that the 125-grain Magnum load’s almost magical stopping power was the only reason to load .357 instead of .38 Special +P ammunition into a fighting revolver chambered for the Magnum round. I agree. - Massad Ayoob

My ex used the same friggin reason! As well as lost herself? becoming like my father (Good!) and anything else she could conjure up. But she did end up taking two guns for herself.

    Thank you!

No, the irons do not co-witness through the RDS.

Thanks. I would also like to pick up a K1A1 or AR-110C.
The M14 bullpup conversion kit has a few fans, but not many.

The Bullpup is long gone... I managed to pick up a nice DR-200, and I may finally add a K1A1 to the herd.

Good question, my best guess is Yes an AR barrel will fit the DI K1A1.
