9mm Dedicated AR-15 lowers WOW
« on: December 31, 2009, 12:12:09 pm »
Check this out, Doublestar is making a 9mm dedicated lower for the AR family.  And it looks pretty sweet!

I apologize as I don't have a way to post the pics directly.

Could be a lot of fun for a plinking/trainer.

ooohhh, now if they made it in 10mm or .45 I'd need a new keyboard because of the drool.
UtahIt doesn't cost me to be nice, but nothing gets you nothing and everything's got a little price.

Khorne for the record they are working on .40 versions to be released at Shot show and they say that their .40 version will have a magwell large enough to fit the 10mm, the only problem they haven't worked out for a 10mm version is hi capacity magazines.

The best I can think of for big 10mm magazines (besides MP5-10 mags that I doubt are available anywhere) would be modifying the feed lips on M3 mags.

You're already beyond me Jesse.  No clue what would work.  Honestly thats one of the things that kept me from realistically looking at the Kriss (besides the price) is that those mags look like crap...

I was just figuring that since high capacity 10mm basically don't exist, and the only existing magazines long enough to fit 10mm are for .45acp; it would make sense to go with modifying the cheapest and most readily available .45 hi-cap mags - M3 Greasegun mags.

It looks like I'm far from the first to think of it:

There is a company making a .45 version for GG mags...I can't remember who it is though.  I know over at CNCguns.com you can buy 10% lowers for it, and a guy over there will finish them for about $80. (unfortunatly, the 10% is almost $300, but it is around this same price)

    Interesting Glock doesn't make a 10mm magazine larger than 15 rounds.  http://www.glock.com/english/index_magazines.htm

Who notes the factory Glock 33 rd mags make a Kel-tec 2000 attractive..http://www.glock.com/english/index_magazines.htm
