I bet they (and the russians) got a look at it and at least some of the bits for analysis.  I'd be utterly shocked if they didn't.

One of the reasons why I want to see the movie is to see how hollywood depicts the stealth helicopters.  See how it lines up with the rumors that have been going around for years and to see if it fits with things certain aviation enthusiasts have seen and heard around Pax river, the Sikorsky Hawk Works in Elmira and out west.

That's one of the things I hate about cop shows. Any cop that is told that he is off a case would shrug and say, "Ok. Do you want me to hand off any of the other three dozen things on my desk, since we're in a share the wealth mood? Smith doesn't do crap around here, can I give him that stabbing I picked up on 18th last week?"

That, of course, makes for pretty poor cinema.

I agree about movies portraying most jobs completely incorrectly. It is exceptionally painful to watch any movie about what jet pilots do. Can't speak to other aircraft but Hollywood has no idea what we do. Pretty much anytime I see "dogfighting" in a movie, I want to puke.

Back on topic, I think I'm going to go watch this over the weekend. If nothing else, there are guns and beards. God I miss my beard...

Just saw it. I appreciate the portrayal of the drudgery of intel work but it still dragged along in places. I read No Easy Day and loved it, and the raid was uncannily just as I had it pictured in my mind. Freaky.
