Took a overnight trip out to Roosevelt forest over the weekend with a friend and our dogs. That's me and mine on top of the ridge overlooking camp. We were about three miles from the fire road.
Calvary Arms lower with a thin-barrel 16" carbine upper and 20 round magazine, roughly 6 pounds. Maybe more now that I added the Surefire light, but it makes for a lovely camp rifle.
Plenty of Quartz around, so we built our fire ring from the crystal.
We camped on a flat spot halfway up a valley. A creek flows down that hill where the dog is looking.
Mosin, my dog, has a pack. He carried 40 ounces of water and his food for the trip.
