Hmm.  I think I already have my MHI loadout...

Rifle: M1A SOCOM 16 in Troy MCS chassis, with HorusVision Blackbird or Talon, canted iron sights.
Pistol: TRP
Shotgun: Not much of a shotgun guy, but I'd either go with my Winchester 1300, or a 1014.
Subgun: Can't really say.  Most of my work has been carbine, long gun, and pistol.
Other: RTAK, Raven Armoury Norman sword, GG&G Combat Tomahawk.
Fortis cadere, cedere non potest.

For my rifle, I would have to go with a .300BLK upper on my AR.  I would want a 20" barrel, full length free float, Leupy 1-5x, MRDS at a 45 degree angle RH side, and Magpul BUIS, OD green MOE furniture.  I prefer an A2 buttstock, but given that I will use armor, a telescoping stock is required.
Shotgun: Mossberg 930 with 6rd side saddle
    Pistol: S&W M&P45 with Apex trigger (if I would be allowed, then a G20SF) 3 o'clock Serpa(don't hate)
Bug: G19 in Concealment Solutions Mamba at the 5o'clock position.
Blade: A kukri of good quality crossdraw LH side and a KBAR tip up on LH side armor strap
SMG: HK UMP45 (always liked the HK slap)

I found this old thread in my history, and was shocked to see it was over two years old.  A bit less surprising was the fact that every single choice I specified back then has since changed.  A bit of it might be older/wiser, but some is just me being fickle.  So it's time for an update:

Rifle - Springfield Socom II, polymer furniture, with quick-detach suppressor.
Subgun - Beretta Cx4 in .45 ACP, SBRed, and perpetually wearing a can.  Custom 20rd magazines.
Shotgun - No preference.  Whichever pump gun is standard issue.
Sidearm - GI 1911A1, only mods being better sights and a reliability package by Milo.
BUG - Glock 23.  Small sterling silver beads epoxied into the cavity of .40 Hornady XTP bullets for silver content.
Blade - Roman 'Gladius-type' legionaire sword.

Just for kicks, all polymer/plastic surfaces would be cerakoted bright blood red.  All exposed metal, save the blade, would be cerakoted a custom gold tone, to closely mimic 24kt plating.

So there it is.  Anyone else want to take another crack at it two years later?

Wow....time flies.,.....does NOT...seem like two years since this thread  :facepalm

Think I'd stay with my main choices, a few tweaks:
Rifle:  7.62X39 12.5" AK :) since silver X39 rounds are around now.  OR... a .308 FAL like before, topped with a 1-4X red-dot optic.
    Shotgun:  Mossberg 590
Subgun:  Not a subgun guy....probably wouldn't pick one.
    Handgun:  Sig 227 .45
    BUG:  Sig 245 .45
    Blade:  Kukri

    Hmm...

Rifle: Probably a FAL (though a Broadsword is obviously a strong contender)... I've never fired either, but the FALs I've handled have pointed well for me. Red dot of some variety on the top rail. Forearm swapped to add rails, add a light.
Shotgun: My Mossy 500, currently set up with an 18" barrel and bead.
    Pistol: Sig 1911 w/light rail.
Subgun: Kriss Vector or the Thompson (whichever mags hold more!)
BUG: Compact version of above... hopefully able to swap mags.
Chopping duties: Zombie Tools Deuce, and a matching dagger - both custom ordered with silver tracery.

I would, however, keep an eye out for 9mm silver ammo... my Beretta would get lonely. Can't have that.

Huh.... parts of mine have changed, but not much.

Rifle: My 300BLK, adding a QD suppressor
Shotgun: My Mossy 500, currently set up with an 18" barrel and bead.
Pistol: Stick with my Beretta 92A1... gotta be some 9mm silver rounds in the armory somehwere...
Subgun: to continue the 9mm trend, an H&K MP5, in it's most compact variant.
BUG: my Kahr K9... stout enough to pistol whip, if I have to...
Chopping duties: Zombie Tools Deuce, and a matching dagger - both custom ordered with silver tracery.

Let's see what would I update?

Rifle: I might change this to the FN SCAR 17.  If I can get it in select fire.
Shotgun:  Upgrading the Versa Max to the Competition model.
Sub gun:  I've only ever shot a Thompson and M3 Grease Gun in 45 ACP, so I don't have much of an opinion.  The Kris's still looks cool, and I've heard they fixed the bugs.
Handgun:  Still have to go with a 1911, because every 45 double stack I've ever shot is just too wide.
Bug:   Think I'm changing over to the XDS
Blades:   No changes, maybe a heavier sword type.

    And suppress everything practical.

    I'm going old-school.

Rifle: Winchester 1895 Carbine in .30-06. Modified to use M1903 stripper clips.
Shotgun: Winchester model 12 trench gun with silver inlayed bayonet.
Subgun: Remington model 8 in .30 Remington, with extended magazines and select fire.
    Handgun: M1911.
    BUG: M1917 S&W, cut down to 3".
    Blade: 11" Bowie.

What changes, what stays the same...

    Rifle: DSA SA-58 - specifically the SA58TACP - 16" barrel and Para-folding stock.
    Subgun: Pre-Ban .45 Uzi.
Shotgun: new 10 gauge Roackblocker.  Because 10 gauge 3 1/2" Magnum slug made of appropriate monster-slaying material.
Handgun: new Glock Model 41.  Because longslide .45 with small backstrap is comfy.  And it's shorter in height than the XD-45 longslide.
Fighting Blade: Kukri - preferably a Cold Steel ATC.
    Backup gun: new Beretta VERTEC.

I was going to comment how none of your picks are in MHI-approved calibers, but then I followed the link to the Beretta, and lost my train of thought.  That is a gorgeous piece of art.

Per canon rules, I distinctly remember that in Legion, Milo mentioned that MHI's ammo supplier is now loading silver rounds in .300 WinMag and 7.62x39mm Soviet. And not all hunters stick with the "standard" calibers: remember Sam Haven's Marlin .45-70?

Anyway... My loadout would be similar to the loadout I gave the main character in MHI: Northeast.

-Rifle: FAL carbine. Handled one, liked the ergonomics, and it felt real solid and rugged. Mine would be a fixed-stock variant rather than Steve's folder, with just a red-dot and flashlight. None of the tactical crap I gave him.
-Pistol: SIG P220. Again, handled several SIGs, and they fit my hands like gloves. Either that or a 1911, since I've actually fired one.
-Shotgun: Mossberg 590A1SPX. Prefer the fire control layout to the Remington 870.
-Subgun: No idea. Probably a UMP45 since that appears to be MHI standard issue. Either that or a MAC-10, just 'cause.
    -Blade: Cold Steel Wakazashi.

    Back-up weapons/heavy artillery:
    -SIG P239 in .357 SIG
    -SIG P228
    -Crusader Weaponry AR-15
    -Benchmade Mini-Griptilian
    -RPG-7.

Having actually handled and shot a decent number of guns in the last two years and learned what I really like & don't, I think my tastes have changed somewhat:

-Rifle: I think I'd actually go with an AK-47 over the FAL now. Say an Arsenal SLR-107FR that's been dehorned and given a trigger job by Rifle Dynamics, fitted with an RS Regulate Mount & mini ACOG, and the new Magpul Zhukov-S furniture and MOE+ pistol grip.

-Shotgun: Mossberg 930 SPX. Slap a side-saddle on and maybe shorten up the LOP and it'd be perfect.

-Pistol: Probably a CZ-97B that's been worked over by Cajun Gun Works. If I could get Trijicon HD Night Sights fitted, I would. If holster availability is an issue, than a Springfield 1911 Loaded Operator, probably their new Black model, with Trijicon HDs, a Streamlight TLR1, and either Wilson or McCormick 10 round mags.

-Back-up/off-duty pistol: Springfield Range Officer Compact. Put a set of Trijicon HDs and VZ Gatorback Grips (which I think I'm eventually gonna do IRL) and it'll be perfect.

-Hideout pistol: Ruger LC9s PRO with a Pachmayr Grip Glove.

-Subgun: I've shot a UMP9 and really liked it, so I'll roll with it's big brother in .45 ACP, with a suppressor and some sort of red dot sight.

-Blade: Gonna steal a page (or several) from Larry and carry a Himalayan Imports Kukhri of some flavor.

-Back-up blade: a full-size Benchmade Griptilian, whatever the model designation for the black finish, drop-point, serrated blade is.

Rifle: investigation - Primary Marlin 1895 SBL 45-70 w full power Elephant raping rounds.

Assault - HK33K or M4 - giggle switch mandatory with drums.  I like the idea of an AK but figured I'd stay ammo commonality.

Shotgun: Remington Versamax SBS 12ga.  Silver breaching choke.

Subgun: Trying to find a 45acp Subgun is hard.  So instead I'll go 9mm.  Sig MPX.  Giggle switch & lots of mags.

Handgun: HKP30L 9mm.  20rd mag option.  Modified by Bowie Tactical.  X300 weaponlight.

HK45T optional if I need to suppress.

    BUG: Sig P239 9mm

    Blade: this http://i.imgur.com/Uy22J4D.jpg

*Puts on fandom purist hat* You guys, there are definitely some non MHI calibers going on here  :scrutiny. If memory serves correctly: .45, 12 gauge, and 308 (with the exception of Dorcas who carried .44 magnum for some reason). As far as I know that was it, unless later books changed this up and added more calibers to the mix.

    Staying true to the fiction.

Rifle: M1A scout squad with a EO-tech sight.

    Subgun: HK UMP .45 http://hk-usa.com/hk-models/ump/

Shotgun: The standard MHI supplied 870 would work fine for me, but if we were going into something really mean and really close the Saiga-12 Russian Police edition would be my DGAF CQB weapon of choice. I would have Milo fix a silver inlayed bayonet and attach a UV light on the forend. Sure I would use my night vision monocular, but vampires are more easily identified by team mates when they are bursting into flames at the whim of a pressure switch. I believe stabbing, shooting, and incinerating vampires all in one go is appropriate, because fluff vampires. http://www.k-var.com/shop/SGL12-94_Russian_LE_variant_12-gauge_shotgun.html

Handgun: Never had the privilege to shoot .45 colt before, but if I'm shooting monsters, a Wheel gun is coming with me. And it's gotta be built TOUGH. http://ruger.com/products/redhawk/specSheets/5027.html

Backup gun: Glock 39 http://us.glock.com/products/model/g39 . The smallest thing imaginable that could still pack silver.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    Rolling with whatever I want.

Rifle: Y'all know I love AK's. SGL-21 and I don't want it unless it's purple  :neener. I would have an ultimak rail on it with EO-tech sight and light. Maybe a silver inlayed bayonet, but..... nah. I think I'll keep it clean up front. http://www.k-var.com/shop/SGL21-72.html

      Just to add to discussion:

at a later point in the books, .300 Win Mag (so assuming, all .308 diameter guns if you want to handloads) and 7.62X39 is also added....does it use .308 bullets as well? or did the company providing MHI make a .311 bullet?

Also, MCB issues 10MM. ALSO.... .40 S&W (since a Sig 229 and H&K .40 are issued to MCB agents).

I am "thinking" that the company providing the MCB also would produce 9mm's for issue as well? maybe?

and 5.56 is available via black-market, but I am betting it would be rare and expensive.

    Team Haven Loadout:

    Welcome to team Haven!

    *disclaimer* liquor included  ;).
    Texas
Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.
Ray Chapman, used to say that the 125-grain Magnum load’s almost magical stopping power was the only reason to load .357 instead of .38 Special +P ammunition into a fighting revolver chambered for the Magnum round. I agree. - Massad Ayoob

Paradoxically it is those who strive for self-reliance, who remain vigilant and ready to help others.

Naked and stinky with a huge wiry beard, a Norinco .45 and a 5.11 bag full of magazines loaded with solid silver ranger SXT's.

Possibly a garden center machete attached to the strap pf the bag.

Rifle: M1A Scout in a VLTOR stock or maybe one of the new Blackfeather Chassis?
    Handgun: Springfield XDM 45
    Shotgun: Mossberg 930 SPX
    Subgun: Pass
Blade: Kukri of some flavor (great for hacking off offending tentacles)

If I could get acceptable accuracy out of the 7.62x39 ammo, I might go with my Draco I SBR'd. Probably prefer the M1A for stopping power though.

Well if everyone else is going back...

Rifle: M1A Scout in a Blackfeather RS Chassis with a RDS.
    Handgun: Sig 1911 Tactical
    Shotgun: Remington 870
Subgun: Still a pass. I'll take my Draco here.
Blade: I think I'll still go for the Kukri with a Tomahawk of some flavor (because Tomahawks are cool.)

Kind of funny to look back and see what I was thinking at the time. I don't even remember wanting an XDM in .45 but I know I wasn't entertaining ever having a 1911. Then I bought one, started using it regularly in IDPA/regular range practice and it turned into my go-to pistol. Same story with the 870. I loved shooting my 930 but it just couldn't reliably run the low brass stuff we have to use in competition here so I bought an 870 I knew would work. I've just gotten more used to it over time and I barely touch the 930 any more. I still love my M1A though and that has definitely not changed.

Ok, I'll play but admittedly its been a while since I read the books

Ruger SR-762 topped off with a 3.5x ACOG
    GLOCK G-21
    Mossberg 930
If I HAD to carry a subgun,  make it a M3 ( yeah I just saw Fury, and I have shot them before)
Blade?...M9 bayonet so I can stick it on the rifle...and I want a tomahawk with a reverse hammer head
Other goodies:  grenades...lots of grenades, BUG: Ruger LCR in .357 with silver 158gr SWCHP
