Fun with Balkanization!

In the spirit of Scottish independence, Crimean Separatists, and the world circling the drain in general, I thought this might be entertaining.

Redraw the map!  Attached is a simple map of North America.  Create new countries or build empires as you will!

I'm not sure how this is constructive.

While I would love to see California and New England break off and join Mexico and Canada respectively, filling out a Coloring Page for big boys is a waste of my intelligence.

Constructive?  It's the internet.  The twenty percent of it that isn't pornography is mostly cat videos and people playing pranks on each other.

But by all means, don't let me keep you from the Wall Street Journal.  :rotfl

This is not the first time I have disliked your comments.  It might be a "waste of your intelligence", which seems highly open to interpretation.  Are you Jesus?  I am curious to see how much your "intelligence" is worth.

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania conquers entire North American continent. We appease our new citizens with cheesesteaks and circuses, along with Yuengling. Approval rating jumps to the upper 90% range. Those wishing to opt out are sent to California, the Upper Peninsula, or Rhode Island.

All budgets are more or less balanced, firearm laws are quite reasonable, we more or less have an even but mostly cordial political balance between major parties and Amish made everyone awesome furniture. Only significant annoyance is wine and hard liquor are sold expressly and solely through the State. Except there's fifty billion confusing exceptions and loopholes.

I fully agree. If there is no good Mexican food then life is not worth living. Also if your Pennsylvania takeover messes up the quality of Cajun food available to this area. Then you can expect wide spread revolts.

I would have included Virginia with the rest of the southern states and lifted the Research Triangle area of NC  and dropped in amongst the Atlantic ocean but otherwise very good break down.

Why are we giving the wastes of air California?  Tell them they are going to Cali, and then drop them off in Quebec.

We have plenty of good Mexican and Cajun food.  Trust me, none of us are eager to shove scrapple down your throats. When it comes to food and drink, we're a diverse lot.

Pennsylvania was founded on accepting weird people and making firearms. One possibly negative for the South, we will want to reclaim the so-called Kentucky rifle, which was first and properly called the Pennsylvania Long Rifle.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_rifle

Anywho, the new Constitution will obviously be the PA Constitution. Which is basically the US Constitution, but better.  Our version of the Second Amendment is "The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned."  So self-defense and RKBA is slightly more strongly worded.

    http://sites.state.pa.us/PA_Constitution.html

The only thing that sucks is that Harrisburg is a terrible city. But then again, DC is not exactly a picnic spot either, so meh, that equals out.

Uhm, yea. That'd be about it. No more Kentucky rifle, we're not gonna mess with anyone's food, stronger Constitutional protection than the current Second Amendment, fairly low taxes. Not going to lie and say it's perfect, but we can improve things.

We were probably the only state in the union not to screw over the Native Americans. We signed a more or less decent peace treaty, and stuck to it. The US govt took over all treaties with the Native Americans in 1792, I believe. There would be no Trail of Tears on our watch, I can assure you.

We're working on it, actually. Slowly, but surely. Wine has greatly been freed up. We're working on passing legislation to very much break the back of the beer distributor monopoly.

Matthew Bracken, whom authored Enemies Foreign and Domestic also "drew up" a map in one of his other works. Nightcrawler's OP was, to me, is one for fun, and to make us think.

You know, I am sorta surprised some of the "maps" being drawn/discussed, do not resemble a 1911, AR,  Lever Action, Colt Peacemaker, Model 10...and for Nightcrawler's sake, some big bore revolver.  :neener
