Sap from Andy's Leather
« on: September 12, 2012, 06:25:27 pm »
OK I ordered a couple of these a few weeks ago and I've been playing w it ever since.  They are 10" long, use a lead sand as a weight and have faux elephant hide along one side.

The Bad
No spring or shaft for rigidity sake.
One side is faux elephant skin so its softer than I'd like
Only two layers of leather

The good
It carries in the pocket well
It fits the hand very well and is easily aim able

The great
Holy Crap this thing 'draws' fast - retarded fast
Hits stupid hard - that heavy sand just blasts things.
I laid a 2x4 split it in the middle just screwing around.

In spite of my idiocy it does not have any problems w fraying or cracking
No tears. Its a beast and IMHO a potentially lethal weapon in hand to hand.  At arms length or inside it I'd rather get hit with an extended baton - note I said at arms length - not two feet out at the end of a baton.

I keep smacking stuff with it.  Tons of fun.

I gotta get me one of them.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. Someone needs to say that to a cop with a straight face. I'll chip in for bail money, but only if you film it.

Oh let me be clear - there is no spring - that does not mean it is floppy.  Far from it in fact.  It makes it just male able enough to wear in a suit standing to sitting down without weird bulges.

Absolutely Andy - I'm really enjoying mine.  Very functional piece of gear.
