10,000 year old atlatl dart found under retreating snowbank

It's not precisely archery:

but still interesting.

I've used an atlatl a few times, and I recall it feeling trickier to master than a bow and arrow.  Brave fellow who takes on a mastodon with a pair of wooden sticks.

    Wow, that's a sharp eye to find a stick and realize it wasn't just a stick.
