One eyed King!
« on: March 03, 2012, 08:19:15 PM »
What every happened with  the former Presidents need for prescription eye wear after he lost the right eye to "Plague of Crows"? He is getting around pretty well with the one eye so far, I just don't remember him getting lazik eye surgery to correct his remaining eye site. :hmm

    DANGIT!

    I've not read that yet.

I almost didn't click on this thread.  That's what happens when you 2nd guess first instinct.

It's on the list after the Gaunt's Ghosts Omnibus.

    That's on the list, too.

I've liked the GGO, but so many of the 40k books are terrible.

True, but that's what really surprised me about the Horus Heresy series. How well they're written.  There is a lot of depth to them and its all one solid story.  An event in one book will have huge ramifications in another.  It all ties in like one giant book from different points of views.  Every page is infused with tragedy and pathos.  It's like a Greek drama and even follows the format of an Epic Greek tale. (aka. Illiad)  The series starts with Horus Rising and starts "En Media Res"(spelling?) which means "In the middle of the action."  There's a "Nequia" journey to the underworld and pursuit of forbidden knowledge leads to tragic consequences.  Good stuff really.

The One Eye'd King's Left eye had always been much better than his Right.  Mostly the glasses were for the right eye... so when it got ripped out, glasses just were not necessary anymore.

Khorne, I ordered your book last Friday and I am just waiting for that bad boy to get here. I was wondering when I read that the Orger told his younger brother that he was not coming to Scotland with him and the rest of the family but he should go to Italy, because he loved anything that was Italian and that was where he should go. I know that that was going to be a great story once it was written and that I am not going to be disappointed.

There are other tie-ins with Uprising USA and the stories weave in and out until I separate completely and go to Italy. I hope you like it.

George, when's the deadline for submissions again? End of April?
