GLOCK 17 with Trijicon night sights, OWB rig, mags, and ammo.  OR I would attend a handgun course (where they hopefully let me rent everything I need).

I seek out and buy two, possibly three, late 70s to early 80s S&W j-frame snubs.

I'd have to go used to do it, but I'd pick up two of the following 3 guns:

    Glock 20SF
    XDM-40
    ATI 1911 Commander.

Actually, I could probably pick up the Commander and the Glock both new for under 1000 easy enough.  The XD would be the wrench in the works.

Send the Glock 17 I just bought to Crusader for an update and their CW service.  Buy a used mossberg 500.  Couple 100 on ammo and the rest toward the gas to get to utah for a couple of George's Classes.  So far I think I have the best idea lol.   :neener

I would just need another 1k for the suppressor to go with that threaded barrel... :o

What I'm in the middle of doing right now : a Beretta 92A1, a Ciener .22 conversion kit for it, related accessories of holster and mag carrier (for the fun of it), and ammo with the rest.

I think I'd buy a nice .357 or .44 Magnum revolver with a barrel around 6".     I don't have any revolvers and I need to get one.

The local range has a nice looking used stainless 686 with a scope mounted on it,  decent price.   I think I'm going to watch that one and see if it comes down any.

I really like a 4" barrel on a revolver now.  Or a 3 for concealment.  I sell them all the time with 6-8" barrels... but I have no use for those.  At this time.

I really want a 4" .357 again. I just got a Rossi 92 in .357 and it has seriously rekindled my interest in the K and L frames. Right now my only .357 revolver is a Taurus 605. I don't regret getting rid of my 4" 686, but if I find a model 65, 66 or 681 in my price range I might have to buy it.

About a month ago I bought my $1000 gun: Springfield Champion Operator. But now I think I want a lever-action/single-action revolver combo, in .357, .44, or .45. I'm pretty sure I can get the two guns for under $1000.

Well Grant stole my thunder, so i'll think of something else.  George has me wanting an ATI 1911 now.  Any 1911s that come in .38super for under $1000?  With the Draco i'd also have to buy a drum for it.  I know, i know it's not practical, but it's my mission in life to get the closest thing to a bolter that i can....and that's pretty close.

    S&W 340PD
    Compact sized 1911
    S&W M&P compact

Maybe a .44 special from S&W.  That Thunder Ranch model possibly.

    I don't have $1000 so moot point.

Taurus makes a .38 Super 1911, for under... $500? I think? The 9mm 1911 of theirs I handled was a *SOLID* hunk o' metal.. had serious heft to it.  Like, club someone with it heft.

Either a Beretta storm in 9mm with a holster or a RPK with drum and the rest in ammo.  Or maybe I'd thrown in one of those Combloc 8x scopes for the PSL.

Good 'ol Taurus.  I'll have to start looking for one.  Is there a .38super thread anywhere?
