It looks like I've got quite a mosin on my hands.

What I THOUGHT was an M28 turns out to be an extremely, extreeemely rare version of a 1927 Civil Guard rifle with a very particular stepped barrel.

Quite possibly the rarest of all mosin types.

Now to find a high roller with more mosins than brains... Hiding under a chair

Why don't you keep it?  Or is a Mosin a Mosin and just that to you?  How much is the value of one of these?

I'm working with a collector to see how much it's worth.  And yes, it's a nice rifle but someone else can appreciate the rarity then I'd be happy to appreciate their cash.

I wouldn't have given you your asking price, anyway. I like cheap Mosins.

Always thought the Finnish Short Rifles (not yours Wink) were interesting.

Ona note: I like Mosin's, but the collectable ones are beyond me.  A Mosin is meant to be bought along with 100 rounds of ammo for $99.99 and be shot alot.

The right to defend our lives and the lives of our loved ones is one of the "inalienable" rights our Founding Fathers deemed most precious. Some states have protected that right while others have neglected it. Knowing where states draw the line between your rights and the rights of those who seek to harm you, our family, or your property could be the most important knowledge of your lifetime. Stepping over the line could mean personal and financial disaster.
