Aw c'mon, don't let that stop you!  (really)
I don't own a Glock myself either.  I'm going to borrow one from a friend and give it a go.  They have drawings and free stuff and it's neat even if you're not a Glock fanboi.  One of my friends won a free Glock 21 at last year's match.  if nothing else I'll collect a ton of brass.

The state IDPA match is a whole lot of fun too and you don't have to be a competitor to play (take me for example).  C'mon out!

Well, there are a bunch of Glock 22s in the used gun case at Gander...which means some will be available for $150 less at the gunshow next weekend.

Who unfortunately is seriously low on cash.. sigh. Tongue

One other thing about the upcoming FL Glock match.  (and again, I don't and have never owned any Glocks)
You have to join GSSF ($35) to shoot the match, but, if you've been sort of thinking about someday getting a Glock... I have been assured that membership in GSSF gives you a certificate good for one Glock a year at Law Enforcement prices, which is supposed to be $398 right now.  So,shooting in the Glock match would let you get a Glock for $433 which isn't bad, I think they run $550-$600 in the stores around here.

Just a thought.  I'm still planning on just borrowing a friend's Glock for the match, but what the H, maybe I'll win one of their giveaway guns as a match participant (one drawing for those), a match volunteer (another drawing for those), or as a first time Glock match participant (yet another drawing for first timers).  C'mon out!

What?  You don't think you'll win one by competing?  neener

Dave Sevigny's shooting, so probably not.  He and a few other people at the top would have to break a leg or something for me to win one...

Hey, there's still one more day of the Glock match left!  Come on out!

This is my first Glock match and it's a lot of fun!  I' RO'd all day today, and am RO'ing tomorrow and borrowing a Glock to shoot.  Much more laid back than IDPA and as I found out, Glock matches are for people who don't really shoot a whole lot.  Shooting the 3 stages will take maybe 1-2 hours and probably less.  There's free stuff too!  I won a drawing for a $50 pair of custom-fitted earplugs, and tomorrow something like 6 guns will be given away in drawings tomorrow not to mention the guns and cash given away as prizes for winning.  Come on out!  Central Florida Rifle and Pistol Club, Orlando FL  www.cfrpc.com
