I wonder what the odds are?  1/10,000,000

Quote
Winners will be notified by February 28, 2010 (02/28/10) via email, mail or telephone.

What is it with February 28th?  It's the day I get to find out if I need to report back to work the next day or if I will be on the unemployment line.   Embarrassed

Oh and thanks for the heads up Bud.  One can not have enough 870s.

Done and done, thanks for the link Bud! Hmmm, the contest ends on my birthday. Maybe I'll get lucky and win. Man, my 870 is one of my favorite firearms. To get one of these would be awesome.

Sorry to hear about that moose42, hope it doesn't happen. :-(

Well I entered.
Now if I win it what should I do with it?  What would you do with it? Evil
1. Cosmoline it and never shoot it.
2. Set up for reloading 12 guage and shoot the pee out of it.
3. Sell it on Gunbroker.
4. Trade it.
5. Convert it to a home defense gun.
6. Sit around and fondle it.

Tannerite, Thermite, Dynamite, etc. Why do all the good things end in "-ite"?

Resurrected this one--10 shotguns being given away is something that all of us should be trying to get, even if you don't like 870's.  If you win it and don't want it, sell or gift it to someone who has a need and/or desire for one.

1.  Take it down and apply Slipstream to all the moving parts.
2.  Buy a few cases of 12 gauge.  It's cheap enough to stockpile easily.
3.  Buy some accessories for it.  A Side Saddle from TacStar and Knox Stock from Blackhawk.
4.  Shoot the hell out of it.
5.  If you don't have an HD Gauge, order an 18" barrel for it, then you have both!
6.  Sit around and fondle it, and practice reload drills.

It's more like what can't you do with it.  Probably could be considered the Ruger 10/22 or AR-15 of the shotguns world.

Personally I'm sorta in the mood for an 870 wingmaster with nice high gloss wood and deep rich bluing.  Perhaps some simple tasteful engraving.  Maybe with a light contour barrel if they still make them.

Dang it I didn't win one!  Oh well if I thought I had a chance at that I'd play the "bad at math" tax.

Pity.  I have enough Slipstream left to lube one up, and that Lyman mold for their shotgun slug looked interesting.

That's why I used a valid, but "mostly just used for contests", e-mail.
