I do carry the same guns year round.  I do find myself carrying my Colt Cobra more often because it is so easy to slip it in to a jacket pocket.  In fact, that kind of becomes its de facto home in the colder months.

I do, however, make an ammo change in my Super .38.  In summer I often carry 125gr Silvertips or 110gr Pow'r Balls to limit penetration.  My default load is 125gr DPX.  Some of that is dictated by availability.

I find that to be one of the most satisfying moments.  When you finally make it to the point where you're comfortable with your carry piece.  The day you wake up and the gun goes into your outfit as naturally as shooting it.  cool  Cool

I keep the same load winter, spring, summer and fall- 158 LSWCHP+P.  I feel that the advantage of having the same gun, in the same place, with the same ammo ALL THE TIME gives me a much faster reaction time.  I do not see the point of changing things around.

All true, but sometimes the change is necessary. For me, carrying my P6 isn't always easy in the summer time. I can carry it in shorts and a t-shirt, IWB, but its much easier to carry a Kel-tec in the pocket, especially if I'm going to be working outside or something. When its colder out, I have no problem concealing the P6.

I usually carry a .357sig, 10mm (G29sf), or .45ACP or .45 GAP. Since I live in Pennsylvania, I tend to carry the 10mm and/or the .357sig when it's particularly cold out. I feel more secure knowing I have something with a little more "juice" to it when I know others will be wearing thicker or more clothing.
