My experience with Slipstream so far....

I put two drops on the pivot of my Benchmade 710 last night, one on each side, and spent about three minutes working it in- pure awesome. When I get a minute, I'll be trying it out on my Barlow 1911.

Yes it will replace what you use now. Protection is as good as anything else on the market.

I read up a little. I see Slipstream doesn't even try to be a cleaner. That's fine, I can use a little Hoppe's and some G96 for that.
I do like my G96 as a gunk breaker downer. Is it recommended to get all the other stuff completely off, or can I just sort of fold SS into my cleaning routine?

Thanks for the question Spike. Clean like you normally would. Then apply the SS where needed. It's really that simple. No special attention. Just use it like normal oil.

How about trying it on a wheellock? That would make for a fun infomercial.

I put it on a flintlock pistol.  The lock was NOT working properly, and last year it inadvertantly fired when the cocked notch did not catch.  I put a lil' of the Slipstream oil in the lock and works like a baeuty.  This is my hunting pistol.  I use it as a backup in flintlock season (after Christmas).  All I can say is WOW!  I have been disassembling all my handguns and treating them.  They feel like they slide on teflon.

I may have missed it, but how has it done in freezing and below freezing temperatures? I haven't felt like leaving anything out in the cold overnight to test it.

I've tested my Slipstreamed FNAR, CX4, and Cougar at 13 degrees for an extended period (hours).  All worked great.

ETA:  There was wind chill too, but I don't know what that would have made the temp.

Over night?  Dude, I've got a gun that's been buried in the snow for almost a week now.  It will be Sunday before I have time to dig it out and and shoot it.

I think that's a sign that you have too many guns, if you forget them for a week out in the snow.  You should send me at least 3 of your guns as penance to make you appreciate your other ones more!

Well I think the Doc needs to back off on the SlipStream or spend some more time on the trigger. I'll vote for more trigger time. I had a simular experience as Outbreak. I was working the trigger reset like a good little ass kicker. I ended up with a bumpfire double tap one time and a tripple tap the next. Oh sure I kept it all on target but the 3 round burst was a bit of a suprise. I did get the slick trigger figured out and kept it to a single round after that but still...

Well, that settles the question of whether Slipstream works in the cold... 

It sure is nice to have all weather lubricant. I am tired to removing the grease from my rifles every October and reapplying in March.

I'm glad to say that not only does SlipStream lubricate my rilfes, pistols, and shotgun great, it has survived a 1000-round test in my G26.  I greased the slide rails, applied one drop of oil to the trigger mechanism, and three drops to the main action spring; after about 200 rounds, the weapon finally stopped slinging grease on me (I applied just a tad too much).  Around 800 or 900 rounds, without cleaning mind you, it was still running better (read: smoother) than when I used RemOil and Militec.  I had to let my brother-in-law fire the weapon for his CHL qualification, which put the total round count to 1000; he did superbly with no FTF or FTE.

NOTE: Wolf steel-cased 9x19mm Parabellum is some FILTHY ammo!

I had to buy another SS kit so that I wouldn't have to worry about my oil and grease coming up missing, again.

I'm a witness to Ogre's gun that he left in the snow.  It had SlipStream on it.  An autoloader shotgun.  It worked flawlessly. I'll let him add anything else.

The Mossberg 930 SPX, lubed with Slipstream, performed as advertised.  The gun was literally too cold to handle at first... but it ran without hesitation.

The Mossy continues to impress me.  It is more reliable than... ahem... some Pump Actions!
But then again, that pump wasn't lubed with Slipstream.

If you're impressed by Remoil, this stuff will knock your socks off! I had always used Remoil, but I was never impressed by it. I am seriously impressed with Slipstream.

My dad brought up a swap-meet found Winchester 67A single-shot .22 rifle for my oldest son for Christmas. He thought it would be a perfect first rifle. It has the usual surface rust you'd expect, nothing drastic. The bolt was really stiff, though. Well, six drops of strategically applied Slipstream on the receiver, bolt surface, and cocking piece, and it's a whole different rifle. I am looking forward to adding some sling swivels and using it to teach my sons position shooting (in about seven or eight years- they are three and two-months old, respectively).

  I dunno. Worked decent.    I don't remember what all, I think Actual Breakfree CLP was used, but remoil'ed 1911's lasted about 200 rounds longer between lubings?   It's been awhile and I don't remember all the brands.
