I got a reply back from them and they got slammed and couldn't finish up the estimates before the weekend. A message went internally and they are trying to finish it up this weekend. Hopefully we'll hear from them first of the week.

Leastways: I ain't much into custom/semi-custom rifles but this thing looks awesome.....Although it'll cost 2/3 of that .50 I'm saving for       I think the .50 comes first but this'll come in afterwards sometime.

I do have a couple questions:

   Can the railed fore-ends be removed and a solid-type stock added?  Or is that an option later?   

    It's basically an AR-10 style action, any basic improvements to the design any?    I've heard only third-hand reports (So not sure if they're true) that AR-10's are somewhat finicky.

The rifle comes as is but if you want to change the forend later that is completely possible. The only addition to the design of the rifle we've added is a perminant Slipstream treatment on the major friction points. With proper maintenance AR-10's are no more finicky than any other semi auto. If you abuse the action then sure you'll have malfunctions.

Yeah, the system is what it is. If you leave it dirty and nasty it will slow down the action just like any other semi-auto. It can take a beating, don't get me wrong. This is also why we are including the permanent SlipStream treatment on our rifles. Nothing sticks to this stuff so cleaning is much easier. The rifle will function longer than normal under worse conditions. It simply makes ours the better rifle.

Better believe it. AND...instead of safe and fire it has a simple crusader shield (no crossed rifles) for safe and a sword for fire.

The pictures are coming. They'll be posted right after I send them to be added to the website. I'm tossing around a couple different ways of making them stand out. We'll see how it goes.

I'm actually looking at ways to do that as an option. I'm thinking a nice bright red that will really make things stand out or a black that will make it very visible but still be subdued.

So how much does the finished product weigh?  With each barrel length?  Thanks.  I mentioned it to another gun nut friend of mine and he sounded real curious but was interested in how much it weighs.

Sorry, I'm not able to do that. If I open that Pandora's box I'll never have anything standard. We can do some DuraCoat work for you though.

That's cool (I trust you're referring to the DPMS-lower). I thought you'd mentioned it before, but I couldn't for the life of me if you really had. I'm cool with it either way, actually I think I prefer no DPMS 'cause G3 mags are so much cheaper (and cheap is important when you're in college...)

Dude, all the Broadswords are off of the DPMS G3 compatible lowers. The selector switch will have a shield for safe and a sword for fire.

And I'm perfectly cool with the G3 lower. Truth be told, I was actually thinking about re-arming Jon in MHI: Northeast with a Broadsword customized to a DMP-style rifle, and wanted to know if he'd be able to use the mags from his SR-25.

Oh, and the selector icons sound really freakin' cool!

AAhhh, nope wont be able to reuse his FU-25 (I mean SR-25) mags.

No Idea....getting impatient myself.

It'll be at least until late April before I decide on a .308.

But I got to looking, just savings on the cost of magazines for a Broadsword VS say a M1A is quite a differance       At the levels I am "Comfortable" with having, I figured it out to be roughly $600.  Makes a $2-?-?-? Crusader look good against a $1400 M1A.
