So ya'll know about my new P226 Elite. When I bought it, Sig had a promo going where if you bought a new Sig Pistol, they'd send you an STL-100 Tac Light and a Sig Retention Paddle Holster. They got here today. First impressions.

Holster
That big gun ain't goin anywhere in that holster. Fits the gun just right, clicks in, and holds my belt like a fat kid to a candy bar. That retention is gonna require some practice to be effective, though. I was practicing drawing with it, and every other draw, I'm pulling my pants up cuz I didn't hit that catch just right. I'll practice with that and then it'll be fine.

STL-100 Tac Light
This light is pretty cool. Single white LED. Feels and looks a lot like a Surefire. It feels pretty robust and is bright as hell. The tailcap switch is a little odd to me though. If you click it hard, you'll hear two clicks and it'll flash once or twice and stay on. Same when you turn it off, it flashes a few times, and stays off. You can put less pressure on it and get one click for a momentary on, but it still flashes once before it stays on. release and it just turns off. There's another setting for "strobe" as Sig calls it. It's really just fast flashing, but it's supposed to disorient the enemy or something. Not sure I buy it. Other downsides include lack of lanyard or anywhere to put one.

The right to defend our lives and the lives of our loved ones is one of the "inalienable" rights our Founding Fathers deemed most precious. Some states have protected that right while others have neglected it. Knowing where states draw the line between your rights and the rights of those who seek to harm you, our family, or your property could be the most important knowledge of your lifetime. Stepping over the line could mean personal and financial disaster.
