The Redcoats are coming! The Redcoats are coming!

« on: June 21, 2009, 03:41:22 PM »

I am a big believer in so long as firing examples of the weapons that men used and died with to  defend our countries exist, they can never be forgoton, and that maybe someday they will serve as a way to remind others of the horror's of war.  Not sure if this is the right place but it's a C&R so figured I would give it a go.

As such I am currently searching for the front upper handguard for a Lee Enfield No5 Mk1, that is made from the action of a No4 Mk1, I have another non fireable jungle carbine but it is made from a 1903 no3 rifle and the parts don't fit. Not to mention I'd like to turn that one in to a wall hanger for my stepson as just another example of Enfield models.

I've managed to find some places that carry them online but they always seem to be sold out and finding one at gunshows has been hard as most people are using them to rebuild full size No4's.

Any suggestions would be greatly apperciated.
Thank you again

All sold out.

Let me rummage around my Enfield spares,  I may be able to find what you need and send it to you for inspection.  I had a barreled action I was going to restore but that project never came together so If the front handguard is still around here I'll let you know.
