Hello all from GA!

Stumbled across this site and decided that I would probably like it after browsing a few of the forums.

I'm a Marine from 93-97 Active and 97 to 2001 Inactive Reserve.  I have since then re-joined in the Army Reserve in a PSYOP unit here in GA about a month ago.

Weapons?  Yea I have some   Grin

Fulltime job is a Engineer for AT&T Mobility

Look forward to participating in some of the threads

Since I first registered, I'd forgotten about this new forum.   Hiding under a chair Beat over the head  My bad.  I've now added to the tabs that open on start up.    I spend most of my on-line time at APS, but WTA is going to get more now.  And I'll make it easy for everyone also:

Hey, I'm Jeff, you'll notice my tag IS my name.  I think that makes my opinions more correct, right? Wink  I'm fairly moderate politically, which should be fun on such a forum as this.  I grew up and live in Utah, so I was brought up with guns, and I own several.  My favorite is which-ever one is the newest (currently a CZ P-01 which I purchased Tuesday from the "Ogre". . .yes the world is small).  I tend to have a short attention span, so I may or may not post often.  I also tend to stir the pot, so if I say something that offends you. . .too bad. . .no, really, see there?  I just can't help myself. . . I apologize in advance. Embarrassed

I'm ****** *******, 25 years old, separated after 6 years in the United States Air Force.  Been working for civilian contractors in Iraq since January 2008.  Used to go to college and deliver pizza for Papa John's.  Play a lot of video games

My current arsenal (doesn't include weapons that I have access to, just ones I own):
Ruger Mini-14 (the one y'all have been critiquing in the Rifle forums)
Mossberg 500 12 ga. (my "+3 Boomstick of Shock and Awe")
Remington 700 SPS .308 Win. (this weapon's name is Kate)
Glock 26 (usually have a Glock 19 mag in this one, except when concealed)
Ruger 10/22 (EVERYONE should have one of these)
Just sold my Glock 21...  bang head

I like long walks on the beach...Um... When CONUS, I sleep with my Glock 26 holstered and under my pillow.  And; when I'm home, I shoot thousands of rounds a day at the range.  Before I started working my current gig, I'd shoot a minmum of 200 .45ACP and 300 9x19mm a month.  Now, however, my skills have dulled.

Hi everybody!  I'm having a great time with the forum.  It's really important, especially these days, to have contact with like-minded people.  If you're wondering about the name- the warrior part comes from years as a martial artist as well as 2 years active Army and 5 years in the Guard as an 11B (including an Iraq rotation in 2005); the healer part relates to my profession.  I'm a massage therapist.  It might seem like an odd combination, but, hey, it takes all kinds.

Politically, I'm a libertarian.

I got here from MHI land.  I gotta say, Larry is an amazing writer.

My current arsenal:
   Kimber Pro Carry II
   M1A Standard
   Ruger 10/22

Great to be here.  Thanks to all of you.

Hello All,

My name is Pete, my handle is LVCIGARZ. The handle means that I Love Cigars and have been smoking them for over 32 years. I am originally from Chicago, IL, moved to the Socialist Republic of Kalifornia (OC) in 82, and retired to Las Vegas, NV two years ago. I was an IT Project Manager, but I have worked in other fields. I own a Glock 30SF, Taurus PT1911 and a Mossberg 590. I have a Nevada CCW and have been carrying everyday for the last six months.

I found this site while googling and signed up in late November. I don't get here very often, because I do a lot of reading at Front Sight, Gun Owners of America and USCCA, but I will try to get here more often. Politically, I would call me a Conservative Moderate. I believe in and live by "Do the right thing", so I try to understand the issues and vote accordingly. One caveat however, when it comes to the 2nd amendment, I feel it is self explanatory and our rights should not be infringed in any way.

I hope to be a good member and not offend anyone.

Thanks.
Pete

Welcome, I was trying to figure out what your name means.  Thanks for the explanation.  Sounds like you have a nice background in IT.  There was a thread in the Technology board you may want to chime in on regarding how to get started in IT.

While some of your views may be different, they are your views and we should respect them as well.  As long as you don't try to intentionally offend someone, you'll do fine here.  We hate it when things get personal but if thoughts are well reasoned, we'll continue to have lively discussions.

Hope to see you hear often.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site, but I have lurked since just after it was started, and I read about it on George's blog, which I read once in a while. I'm 17, and I live in Colorado. The username is one my cousin gave me, fluffy from my hair, and hitman from my combat boots and duster coat. I don't have any guns yet, but that's likely to change right around my 18th birthday. Aside from guns, I'm interested in computers, cars, and guitars, glad to see there are sections for two of the three on this site as well. I'm currently at college studying computer science, I hope to get a job programming games after college.

Philosophically, I'm libertarian, but I'm independent politics-wise, as I can't really find any party I agree with completely. I probably disagree with quite a few of you on several topics, as I am some strange mix of liberal and libertarian, but from what I've seen, we can all be civil about that.

Hi all.

Just learned of WTA today when a friend forwarded me a link.

Been shooting, to some degree or another, since I was little; been an active 2nd amendment activist for the past few years.  I post mostly on Opencarry.org.

Personal arsenal includes a boatload of handguns in calibers from .22 to .45, and a couple of rifles.  Most often, my carry gun is a Bersa Thunder of one caliber or another.  9mm is currently in favor, though I sometimes go to .380 if I have to conceal.

Looking forward to reading more and getting to know you all.
