It needs more cowbell.

And by cowbell, I mean chainsaw.

Seriously, though, that's a neat upper.

Well, it has the same issue as any other AR - You'll need a good supply of bolts.

Hey man, I'm just making an observation...I'm not trying to quarrel with AR fans.

416 FPS.  That is bloody FAST for an arrow or bolt.
Slow for a bullet - but for an arrow, this will penetrate like the stare from an angry wife.

I had breakfast at the ATA show with Pete Shepley and we discussed this thing.  I pointed out the fact that there are nearly no target butts at ranges that can stop bolts from this sort of thing in a recoverable manner (meaning, they will bury themselves) and he acknowledged that fact.  However, he felt there are a lot of "black gun" owners (knowing I uh... are one) who would spring for the thing.

I wouldn't put one of these on any of my AR lowers, but I am sure they will sell a few.

Ignorant non-archer alert:
Seems to me that with this you're gonna blow  around $120 on a lower (more like 200+ now) and have to go through all the paperwork for a firearm, to make a crossbow, which isn't a firearm. seems like extra PITA for a non-gun. Plus, nobody is buying Lowers without sticking firearm uppers on them these days. IF you can find a lower right now, chances are you're putting some fire on top. The only people I see buying these are gonna consider it a spare upper for their AR. I don't see buying lowers specifically for this.

This is an alternate upper for a lower attached to another upper.
