Pics of Webley MKIV
« on: August 05, 2009, 12:19:26 PM »
My girlfriend's grandfather took this old revolver appart one day and forgot how to put it together.

So he gave it to me in a bag. He said I could have it if I could put it back together.

So I did!  Too bad I have no .38 S&W around.

Check your local Gander Mtn. if you have one.  That caliber has been sitting on the shelf here in beautiful St. Augustine, FL.
If you pay they might transfer.

Well, well.  Now you're a real gentleman.
What a classy pocket revolver.  "It's the most innocent thing in the world."

It is definantly a pocket revolver.  The double action pull is smoother than the single action by far.

I'll check by gander next time I'm there.  I've got a $50 visa coming in the mail soon, so that'll probably go toward ammo.

I carried a .380/200 Webley in Iraq.
It was a gorgeous commercial gun.
I have always loved Webleys but I would have
rather had something else at the time......

I think of Webleys the same way I think about A-10s.  Ugly by traditional standards, beautiful by my standards.

No lucky charms. :)

I love the webley revolvers.  Wish I had a .455 version.

Here are mine. Top to bottom: .455 Webley Mk VI, .38 Webley Mk4,  .38 Webley police pistol with push through safety, catch.38 Enfield made by Albion.
As normal for me, all deactivated. >:(

Maybe it's time for some unfired brass and a set of dies.  ;)

Been thinking about it.  At first I thought I could trim .38 special down to size and shoot .356 loads through it.  But it's a .360 I think, so that's a no go.
