Yes they so have 10 round mags.  When I bought my 5-7 Rey came with both 10 and 20 round magazines.

i live in wisconsin, and yes, i am referring to obama's new laws. Do they even make 10 round magazines for that pistol?

    Okay, civics lesson

The president does not get to make laws.  The president can decide the specifics on how laws are enforced, and this is where executive orders come in.  How does that work?  Lots of laws are like the speed limit, there is flexibility in how they are enforced (ever get a ticket for doing 56 in a 55 MPH zone?) and they fall within a spectrum of importance.  (a cop leaves the guy who was doing 85 in a 55 when he hears about the robbery in progress).  Executive orders allow the government employees to refocus their efforts.

However, for issues that are currently legal, it takes new laws to change that.  Many of Obama's executive orders were basically wish-list items for a future bill.  However that bill doesn't even exist yet, let alone is it ready to be signed into law.

We have no idea if a new law will allow magazines to be grandfathered in, or if they will be demanding you surrender all your guns.  The best way to deal with this is to contact your law maker and tell them you think any sort of ban based on numbers of rounds in a magazine is like arguing about how many angels can fit on the head of a pin...it is a waste of time, and that you will remember how they vote on gun bills when it becomes time for you to vote in the elections.

As far as what they will require, should all the restrictions get passed that are being considered, I would like to point you to the very excellent series by Emily Miller, of the Washington Times, regarding how she got her gun in Washington D.C.

Here is the URL for the first article. It is well worth the time to go through the archives and read how she maneuvered through the red tape and bureaucracy of D.C. to get a firearm, which she still can't legally carry because that's not allowed in D.C.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/guns/2011/oct/5/miller-emily-gets-her-gun/

I brought this up because the subject of magazine capacity is addressed, given that D.C. limits mags to 10 rds, and her desired firearm was shipped with a larger capacity magazine.
You can't argue with a .357 Magnum.  Well, you can, but you end up bleeding a lot.

One of Diane Feinstein’s excuses as to why the 1994-2004 ban was so ineffective was the fact that everything was grandfathered.

Today there are millions more of these guns. Millions more of these magazines. She put the NFA registry for “grandfathered” guns in her proposed bill because this way when you eventually die your banned items become the property of the US govt. Essentially taking these “evil” guns out of circulation. This is something that she will NOT want to compromise on whatsoever. But that mandatory registry is EXACTLY what will kill any chances of it passing. She could take out the magazine restrictions and it would still fail.

So by her own strategy and her unwillingness to remove the mandatory registration she has killed her own bill by her own hand.

Harry Reid is pretty much a bastard on every other issue but he gets an A rating from the NRA for good reason. He comes from a state that’s HUGE on gun rights. Harry wants to keep his job. And Harry isn’t stupid. He stated on record that they don’t have the votes. He doesn’t WANT to see this bill pass. Even if he votes against it many dems will lose their jobs. Come midterm Obama would have to face a republican majority In the house AND the senate. The next president (if Democrat) would face the first two years of their presidency in a bad place.

This doesn’t mean we should all breathe a sigh of relief and let down our guard. We need to constantly bombard our politicians and reps. Remind the liberal ones of what happened in 1996. But as for a federal ban/mag restriction, I don’t see it happening. On a state level is an entirely different story.

"You see, Doctor, God didn't kill that little girl. Fate didn't butcher her and destiny didn't feed her to those dogs. If God saw what any of us did that night he didn't seem to mind. From then on I knew... God doesn't make the world this way. We do." Rorschach-Watchmen

    To summarize for the OP.

We can't say what would be legal under a new law until said new law is passed and we know what is in it.

If Obama got his wish, all Five-seveN's would become Unicorns - mythical objects which don't exist in real life.  This woud make magazines irrelavant.

New laws regarding guns are quite unlikely to pass under the current makeup of congress.  However, Obama and many other left leaning politicians may have signed their pink slips by finally exposing their true colors.  I can hope anyway.

HiVelSword nailed it with his comments about vigilance.  Time to write letters.  Much better on paper and with a stamp.  Harder for Washington to process and respond if it is a letter.  This makes a longer lasting impression.  I would love for the next news conference about guns be a commitment from congress that they won't pass any new gun legislation if we will PLEASE JUST STOP THE LETTERS!  THE LAND FILL IS FULL AND OUR INTERNS ARE SUFFERING FROM CRITICAL BLOOD LOSS FROM PAPER CUTS!
