I have been talking to a local gun shop here about getting a job in their firearm production department.  I had my job interview today and they told me that I am more than qualified and I will be going in tomorrow for a trial work day.  Hopefully all goes well tomorrow and I will be building ARs for people here locally.  I am super stoked and now I'm studying on youtube to make sure I am brushed up on building an AR.  I am a machinist mate in the Navy and I am confident in my abilities and general knowledge on the inner workings of most firearms.  I highly recommend that you check out this playlist of videos if you are looking to build an AR. 

DIY AR-15 Build - Introduction and Legal Considerations

This shop is relatively new and run by a young guy who has a lot of plans for his business, including full production of rifles.  Hopefully I can introduce them to the wonders of Slipstream and maybe a few other things.  This will be the first step for me to becoming a gunsmith when I complete my 20 years with the Navy.  If you gents have any pointers or tips and tricks, I would appreciate it.

It's working out great.  I get paid to talk about my passion for 8hrs and sell guns.  I don't like getting muzzled all the time, and recently with all the panic buying, especially in CA, it has been absolutely non stop.  The money is kind of like an afterthought.  The boss has kept me at the sales counter because he says I sell guns really well, but any spare chance I get, I'm in the back helping the builders out.  Thanks for asking.
