Well, I got on the scale this morning for the first time in 2 weeks and am down another 18 pounds. I am now nearing the 60 pounds lost mark. 100 pounds lost just might be attainable. Heck Yeah!!!!

I admire that attitude. Too many people don't have that stick-to-it vision for the longterm

I have decided to fight the odds.  The women in my family are all big, and if they start something and don't see results the next day they give up. I am tired of being fat, and i really am enjoying the praise from my soon about all my hard work and him telling me i look pretty. That is reason reason enough for me to going. In this day in age it is important to show your kids hard work gets you what you want.

Just don't get too skinny, mmkay?

For me, weight loss is all about fighting my diabetus, which is going smashingly so far.

I will never be skinny... I like the feel of curves. Plus...gals are supposed to be soft.

Been tumultuous at Casa Wojtowicz, bro.  First, got my contract due dates (finally).  Started my work.  But arguments, boils, and a shoulder that hates when my left hand moves too swiftly have been doing crap like putting me to bed at 7:30.

Plus... Bejeweled Blitz addiction.   :facepalm  Thankfully, I'm not the only writer there.

I shall call!

I work 10am to 7pm M-F...give or take.
Let me know when you have a few minutes and the addiction subsides.

Call at work?  That slow there?   :facepalm

BTW - back to words from a fat guy:

Milk jug/Ghetto Kettle Bell (KhettoBell?  YEAH!  KhettoBell!) work today on my left arm.  The shoulder is soooo cranky and pained, but I did twenty incline presses with it and ten push-ups.  Also did about twenty-five curls.  Damn my arm hates me.

But I'm tired of rubbing salve and eating Ibuprofen like M&M's.

Let me know if you find anything to help with that shoulder. Mine is housed after a car roll over back in 2003. Then since then i have babied it and it screams and locks up.

The bones don't seem to be the problem.  It's all tendons and muscles.  Sometimes it wraps the pain down to my wrist and up to my neck, and other times, it's a dull needle poking at one bit.

Doug, how many "pulling" exercises do you do?  I used to have pain like you described and realized that my day job (working seated at a desk on a computer) made my posture horrible and put strain on my shoulders and then when I did go to the gym I did a ton of pushing exercises, hardly anything for my back and specifically the back of my shoulders.  So I changed, and for a while I did at least twice as many pulling exercises as pushing. Almost immediate improvement.  Now I make sure that I do as much volume pulling as I do pushing and my shoulders have thanked me.  I also have a list somewhere of some rehab type stuff with bands that I can send (if I can find it) if you'd like. </offtopic>

Jim and Caryn...nice WORK!

I've been trying to remember the rehab for the other shoulder which did the same thing.  And I do have some elastic bands for working on that.  I'm also using my KhettoBell as a pendulum, letting its weight swing my arm back to stretch the joint.

You can hit me in a PM with that list.

I have been doing 3 sets of 10 with 20 pounds of weight rows....it is strengthening the muscles and the pain isnt as bad as it was while doing nothing. I think mine is mostly muscular that aggrivates the joint because it doesn't hold it right.....same with my hips
Thanks Lukeal!!

I figured after the work I have put in, it was time for a reward, so I ordered myself some prescription pink shooters glasses!!
I also ordered some every day glasses since my old ones fall off.
Oh and Jim was kind enough to do a side by side comparison

Here is also one of him...December 2009 and September 2010

The downside: it's going to start getting harder to conceal a full size 1911 in a shoulder holster. ;)

Did some measurements today... 12 inches down in my hips, 10 in my waist, 4 in each of my upper arms, and 4 across my bewbs. I lost another 6 pounds last week and am now the lowest weight I have been since the 10th grade. I have now beat out my post pregnancy size and weight ( lots of working out after he was born, accelerated by breast feeding)
Maybe this weekend we can get some new pictures. Jim only being home two days a week to take them has made the photo progress hard, although he did replace the screen on his computer from 2010...WOW what a difference from them to now in the pictures. It wouldn't surprise me if I am down almost 100 pounds since then..

So, as of this morning, if my scale is right I am down right about 80 pounds since June. That puts me 20ish from my 100 pound loss goal, I guess I need to reevaluate. Oh..and my next goal is a size 12 jeans by the New Year. I honestly never thought this possible. Each week I am a "New smaller than I have ever been in my adult life"
