Guys I apologize. My aunt that raised SLM and me has been very sick. She went in the hospital with stage 4 cancer on Thursday and died on Tuesday the 21st. I was in the hospital with her the Sunday we were supposed to meet in Gatlinburg. I forgot all about it due to the emergency. Hopefully next time.

I saw that when I returned home Thursday (I was intentionally avoiding facebook other than to message, increased the relaxation time).

My deepest condolences to your entire family, no apologies needed.  If anything I wish there was something we could do to help or lesson the pain.

Indeed.  Also, let SLM know sometime, that we give our condolences to both of you.

I'm sorry to hear that, sarge.

Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.

Thank you. Prayers were answered in that once she fell so ill that she was invalid and then comatose, she didn't linger and suffer. She was a fiery little woman and went out ready to step off on her next adventure. I hope I go with such grace and composure. I started to cry a bit on the last day she was lucid and she scolded me. She told me she was ok with dying and if she wasn't crying, no one else better be crying. When she wasn't busting my chops and keeping me humble, she was one of the most loving and most generous persons I've ever known.

My oldest son asked me why I never stood my ground with Nanna when I never took crap from others and I told him that it's simply Nanna. Besides I added, even if I did win a confrontation with her, yay big tough guy vanquished a lil' ol' 5'02" / 120lb lady. Worse, if I lost, I got whooped by a lil' ol' lady. It's just not worth it.

I'm not saying you should use an M1A for home defense, but I'm also not saying you shouldn't.

My thoughts and prayers go with you and your family during this time.  I am glad, though, to see that the remembrance of happier times has already begun.

My Nana was all of 4'11 and 90 pounds. Nobody gave Nana grief. Ever!  Thoughts and prayers for your loss.
