CPAspr: And that's one reason I'm so grateful to have her.    Not many people (lost a few potential GF's because of it) believe in not having sex before marriage, and she didn't bat an eye and is the same way.    The fact we can go out and not have that whole thing clouding it all...... We are completely ourselves, no false pretenses.

I tell horrible, twisted jokes and she doesn't care and I deal with a semi-insane mini-Australian dog she has.............  :rotfl

Well, there you have it.  Anyone who rooms with an Aussie shepherd or cattle dog is good people or the dog would have already kicked them out.   :cool

I dunno.  Anyone who willingly bring one of those crazy things into their lives deserves some extra scrutiny.  Maybe even a mental health screening.

Because grown men should not 'gush' over things? :scrutiny

Really, I don't like animals in general, save for whatever I can get out of them.  Cats can be useful to keep rodent populations down.  Dogs... Can be useful in some instances... I guess.

Heck, I don't even like most people, so give me a break.

Ah everyone's different, Kaso tends to think logically, which probably is better than most of us.   Still must suck being part Vulcan though  ;)

I just don't like stupidity, bulls___, or illogical behavior.  If I am putting up with any of those from you, it is a safe bet that either I once changed your diapers, or you once changed mine.

Hence, I don't 'play well with others.'

Well, there you have it.  Its an election year so Kaso has to put up with an unusual amount of ". . . stupidity, bullsh*t and illogical behavior", hence the surliness.   :coffee

Okay, so just putting this up:

Tentatively planning Feb 14th to the 19th being the main portion of the trip where we could arrange a meetup.  Probably around 16-17th would be the best to get a break from meeting all her family  :D

I should be good with that.  Since I retired and went to part-time elsewhere, schedule is a lot more flexible.  What works for others who can make it should be OK with me.  Just need a couple of weeks to be sure I can come.  Any location is good; the standing invite to come up and shoot at Kettlefoot stands, weather permitting.

You still looking at the same timeframe for your travels, Grant?  Is Feb. 16-17 good for planning a meet-up?  I might oughta put in an early bid for those days off just to be sure.

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe the 17th for you and sarge if that'd work out and 19th to meet up with Jim and Caryn possibly.

You have a facebook page?  so we can sorta keep in touch during the trip maybe?

      Okay, posting an update:

We've got the dates ironed out and a lot of them filled up.  :cool

Booksmart: not trying to rush ya timewise, we weren't sure what we're doing  ;)   But we are planning on going to the Chattanooga aquarium sautrday before noon and a boat tour at 12:30 to 3, maybe back to the aquarium.   If you're not free no biggy, thought I'd mention we did decide to swing that way.

We're planning on being at Smokey Mountain Knifeworks/Buds Gun Shop at around 3PM to closing, sunday in Sevierville.    Then Monday is free if that works too.

As I Pm'd you - I won't be able to make it (a classmate of my son is having a birthday party at noon, and my wife RSVP'd).

Enjoy the Aquarium - I understand it's quite impressive. Say Hi to Jim and Caryn for me.

Just thought I'd say it was an awesome trip.

Had a lot of fun, met all of the fiancée's family (and approval  ;)).     Got to meet up with Goatroper and Jim and Caryn.   Good people, it was great to be able to meet up in person with some of the crowd.

Thinking of another trip possibly in October or February again for a more relaxed vacation, may try it again.

Learned a lot about southern culture  ;)  Bit different than up north and thoroughly enjoyed all the sights and attractions.

Aquarium was great, had a lot more depth than I expected.  Also took the aquarium's boat tour which was neat.

And Goatroper: yes, she's a fine lady.   Very much out of my league but I got her to likin' me somehow  ;)     We set the date at June 16 this summer so next time we're by we'll be an old married couple ready for divorce  :P   Lol,   like either one of us will allow the other to do that.
