"The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes....Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

I don't need a rod and reel to drink beer. I just need beer.

Good point. I don't need a rod and reel to drink beer in a boat, either. Just need beer, and boat. I've done that a lot.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I like to fish because it helps to teach patients it takes time to catch a fish, sometimes it takes seconds other times minutes to hours, but another reason I fish is to watch the day go by.

This would be my kind of fishing: http://www.petersenshunting.com/2012/02/15/shooting-asian-carp-with-shotguns-were-game/

Some how i don't think it would work out that well,

it could be a lot of fun with a baseball bat though
