Oh man. Between WTA and FB, my thread reading comprehensions skills are doing horrific tonight. I think I'm just gonna sit here for the rest of the night and use a crowbar to pry my shoes out of my mouth.

Although I do like the 3rd gen semi-autos of Smith and Wesson I also like their revolvers.



The 360PD above is a .357 but I run +p .38 spcl's due to the violent recoil and huge muzzle blast with .357 magnums out of the less than 2" barrel. This little J frame is my constant carry gun, it is always on me, usually AISW but also ankle carry when dress dictates. My back-up gun is generally the 4040PD shown in the previous post.



The model 69 above is for when I think I might need a long shot. Like the 360PD it has a Crimson Trace laser grip and on top sits a FastFire III for that long shot. Very effective for deer out to 100 yards with a good rest.

A cheap Kydex I bought at a gun show. It broke into 2 pieces when I dropped it out of a tree (the gun was OK) so I replaced it with a carbon fiber model I bought from eBay. I can look up the vendor when I get to my main computer.

I also use a cheap Uncle Mike's fabric ISWB holster that I wear with sweat pants around the house.

Multiple flavors of semi automatics

I've been a bad boy again...... Nothing like a couple of target models to make the months go by...




Ruger MKII Competition Target. I had to sell my original one right out of college to be able to move back to East Tennessee. Found one that still had the factory packing grease on it. Gotta love Gunbroker!

Then this little sweetheart caught my eye at the local store:



Smith 617-1 (pre-lock) 6-shot. She will make a perfect match for my 686 4". I've already got a 6" 686 and 617 combo, so it only seemed "right" to get another "matched-set". She's currently in layaway and coming home in a couple of paychecks.

And now, the pièce de résistance. Something I never even knew existed until I started really wanting a true target-grade 9mm. I had the opportunity to shoot it's "little brother" a couple of months ago (the Expert model) and was amazed at the accuracy. I was about to order one of those when this Unicorn popped-up.







Quite literally unfired after it left the factory. The gentlemen who had it on consignment bought two and stuck this one in the safe as a back-up. There it sat since 2004, quite forgotten. He decided that, since he was retiring and no longer shooting bullseye, he would send it on down the line. And there I was!

I am mostly a 'prepper' collector. It used to be WW2 so I have a Garand and an M1 carbine, but everything else is .22lr, 9mm, 12 ga or 5.56mm and my son has some 7.62/.308. But that's because he can still see past 100 yards.

So, I collect by common agreed to calibers. Pistols are all Sig or Berettas except a S&W M&P .22lr compact which is a GREAT walk the property with the dogs gun amd my HiPower that i had in VN. Rifles are M4geries, a Henry .22lr , an M&P 15-22 and a 10/22 takedown which will share the silencer with the M&P 22 compact. Shotguns are both 870s one from the Mad Ogre (my son has another one from George) and a second one that was also a police trade in.

Oh, wait! uhhhhhhhh................I lost all my guns in a tragic canoeing accident:
