Pay It Forward/Karma Thread
« Reply #200 on: June 06, 2015, 03:20:58 PM »

Attention iPhone 5 users- anyone need a Strike Industries Battle Case? It's brand new. My buddy gave it to me but I'm still stuck in the dark ages with my iPhone 4. PM your address and it's yours.

I have 2 holsters available that will fit a Sig-Sauer P220. They came with my P220 as a set but have been just sitting around and they have to go (according to the wife).

The first is a Don Hume OWB:

The other is an unknown shoulder holster with a single mag pouch:

The first "I'll take it" and a pm for shipping are welcome to them.

I could probably use them.  If I can't, I will pass them along again.

Second  is made for a 1911 can't tell scale for sure but I'd say 3.5in officers 1911 would be my guess based on the  slide coming out of the dust shield.

It could be but the Sig did fit but they went on a drawer as soon as I got the pistol...and placed an order with you for one of your holsters.

I do have some more holsters that might make it on here over the next couple of days.

It's for a 1911 for sure, but it could be stretched to fit, from memory a tight fit on a 1911 will not fit a P220, so likely it was a 1911 rig fit could be anywhere depending on what it's had in it over it's life. The length is dang close to a 3.5in. 1911 but that's if they designed it like I would with coverage on the muzzle. Likely they didn't since it's common to have open muzzle on these style of rigs, so it could be for a commander, or full size with an inch or so hanging out the rear.

Either way that's my read of it;)

Eyeballing it with my commander and a mag in hand- it looks like a commander sized holster.

I think it's the 3.5in myself mostly I think the area past the dust shield is too short on the boning. Unless it was designed to be open muzzle if so all bets are off since it could be a commander or full size at that point ;)

This is correct.  It does not fit my P220 series, but does fit the 1911.  My 5" model fits just fine, though it sticks out in the way you say.

A 5" 1911 is a bit much to carry horizontally.  If you have something shorter, that should be better.  Both of mine are 5".

Yeah, I have a 4.25 inch combat commander. And I'm looking at a few compacts to round out my collection.

The first holster (Don Hume) is for a full-size H&K USP. (hence the No.25 USP)

The shoulder holster is for a S&W 4566/4563. (points of note are the short dust cover, trigger guard and on the upper edge of the holster behind the ejection port is a molded portion for the ambi safety, also the molded rise just below the ejection port is where the end of the slide stop protrudes from the right side of the frame..

I think your right on both hard to tell with the picture of the shoulder rig since it's just at the right angle I can't see it terribly well. But looking above the trigger guard the frame does look more exaggerated than a 1911, and I do always forget about the S&W auto's that were fairly close in look. So I think your right;)

I'd like to see the other side (next to body side) of the shoulder holster to get some indication of the brand, as most place their brand stamps on that side.

Bad thing is I recognize the harness design I had one of those in my hands a few years ago a buddy asked me to repair it. But for the life of me I can't recall who the heck made it. I know it was the same harness and build looks the same, but since the harness was so strangely built it stuck in my memory;)

Ahh. Jay-Pee was, for many years the provider of duty gear for NYPD. I don't know if they still are...I've had a couple of jay-Pee holsters & speed loader pouches and thought very highly of them.
Jay-Pee products are not particularly elegant, but they are most certainly extremely durable and comfortable. They are designed to serve an officer for an entire career, very tough gear indeed!
The stamping you described stands for S&W large autos. This is for the 4.25"bbl 4566/63, the 4506 will fit but the muzzle will extend beyond the end of the leather due to it's 5"bbl.
Jay-Pee holsters are very good quality!
