Thread revival!

I have a Blackhawk shotshell pouch, that is set up for MOLLE loops.  I ordered it, accidentally, for the shotgun class.  Rather than return it, I just ordered the belt loop model from another vendor.  If I were to send it back, after shipping and re-stocking fees... it's not worth it to me.

http://www.lapolicegear.com/blackhawk-pals-molle-strike-12-round-shotgun-ammo-pouch.html
Blackhawk no longer even lists it on their site... :shrug.  It is like the one in the link, but in black.

I would really prefer if one of our shotgun-loving LEOs got it, but I'm also willing to give it to a civilian member who owns and trains in MOLLE gear.  If you don't, it's not going to do you much good...

    Thread revival ...

I just took a set of three dot tritrium sites off of my Glock 36.  I think they are Meprolights.  The finish is worn but they glow.  If any one can use them, let me know.  I believe that sites for the 36 are different than other models.  At least the Straight 8's I replaced these with were specific.

I also have two sets of standard stock Glock plastic sites.  If anyone wants them :shrug

Send me a PM with your address and I will mail them out.

    My turn!

My sister bought a Dremel 200 a year ago, never opened it.  When she finally got around to using it, the power switch didn't work right.  I told her to leave it at our parents, and I'd check it out.  Sure enough, bad switch, so I called Dremel.  They said ship it up to them, they'd take a look at it.

They did, and shipped it back, fixed.

My sister had already bought another one, I already have one. Who wants one?

Have three Hornady Pro-jector shell plates, #s 1, 8, & 29.  Since I gave up on the Hornady progressive, I need these like a rooster needs socks.  Anybody who is interested, let me know, and they're yours.

Wait, is this the standard-sized mag tube that is on the 18.5" shotgun?  Does it have the screw-in barrel, or the slide-over barrel?

Stock Glock sights gone.  Meprolight Glock 36 three dot night sights still available.

If you've still got those Mike I'll take them, I've got a project brewing unfortunately nothing really interesting but I find myself needing some Glock sights;)

    I'll shoot you a note.

Blackhawk Rem 870 forend, pump part, whatever.  I did not bother swapping this out when I installed the new stock kit.  PM me your address and out it will go.

I am moving in about a month so whatever gun related stuff that I don't want to move, and has little or no re-sale value will be popping up here as I pack.

I have a Galco Ankle Glove for a S&W J-frame, that needs a new home.  Due to me having some recurring foot issues, I can not carry guns on my ankle - even airweight snub noses, so I discovered. :(  This holster has been worn all of four (4) times, so it is like new.

I am taking the gun back to the LGS where I bought it, because they always take care of you when you bring one of 'their' guns back to trade, but the holster will not add any significant value to the trade.  Can any of you use it?

I don't "need" an ankle holster for a j frame, but if no one else takes it...... I think I'd be interested. Calling anti-dibs here, if absolutely no one will relieve you of it. I'm interested  :cool.

Absolutely.  Luke gets it first for R&D, then he can pass it to whoever is next.

Luke, in my experience with my PPK (years ago), the Ankle Glove is a top shelf ankle holster.  Just as with a 1911 or similar carried on the belt, holster design makes a big difference with heavy guns on the ankle.  Still not 'fun,' but at least doable.  As it happened, my PPK aggravated my foot issues, so I stopped ankle carrying it.  While the airweight J-frame is much easier on the feet, I am sensing that long-term use will re-aggravate the injury.  So I guess what I am saying is, you will be hard pressed to find a better design to study than the Ankle Glove - don't let my inability to use any ankle holster put you off of it.

MTK20, you are welcome to have it if no one else says they want it.  I do ask, being as it is basically new, that if you find that it does not suit you, that you pass it on to someone that it will.

Well that's what I'd like to do, more less I've been fiddling with ankle rigs for quite a while without much for results to speak of. So I'm always looking at what I can find to get ideas from. If you can send it off to me, and as soon as I'm done looking it over I'd be happy to send it down the road to whoever wants it here. Might take me a couple weeks to really look it over and try it some wearing it but I don't need it long term;)

That's fine.  Unfortunately, I was just at the post office yesterday mailing you a payment for my current order.  Wish I had known the holster was going to you, too...

Also, keep in mind that carrying a blue gun is going to be a heck of a lot different from carrying an airweight, which in turn is a world different from a steel gun.  You may want to try to borrow an actual gun to carry in it, if you lack one of your own.

I actually don't have a small jframe but my dad owns several of them from lightweights to regular steel frames so that wouldn't be a problem.

I had thought about that after the fact that you mentioned mailing the check for that order;)

Either way no hurry on my end since I'm running around like crazy at the moment anyways;)

No promises this project has literally been in progress for years at this point, granted not allot of heavy testing just more thinking on it and trying to fix things I don't like about some of the other rigs I've used over the years. I think I started this in 2010 late in the year;) So it's been a while, but I'm always up to check out gear especially when it's in the vein of some project I've been fiddling with;)
