"How to Reload a Semi-Automatic Pistol" or "Why I don't write Gun Stuff anymore".
I'm just tired of this stuff... We Preach To Our Own all the time.  Constantly... That's what we do.  But we always write to the Uneducated Audience instead of talking to your Core Audience... The Enthusiasts.  So you come off as sounding like a condescending prat... Or you bore us to death.  And sometimes you can do both.  See, I'm tired of reading basic fundamental time articles.   And I'm tired of being told that it's all good for you.
And I understand that yes, this is all old hat to most of us, but some of us are really new and might not know.   Sure, that's a valid argument.  But having been a gun writer, and having been an instructor... let me tell you... That Audience isn't reading your s___.  They seek out the fluffery known as a "Friend".
And if your Audience is this fluffing basic and they need this step by step explanation... Don't waste anyone's time and just tell them to go a reputable range and ask an RSO.   Because an RSO can teach them on whatever gun they have.  Done.   Your basic generalities are falling on deaf and dumb ears.

I still like it. I learnt two things from that video: first of all, because I use revolvers, I never seem to reload from my "shelf/ working space" and I need to figure out a way to ameliorate this.

Second of all: what mag pouch is he running? I'd like to have a slim belt mounted mag pouch  :cool.

Other then my two points above, I would much rather have a video for the perfect Bill drill with a reload for a snub nosed revolver than how to run my bottom feeder.

Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.
Ray Chapman, used to say that the 125-grain Magnum load’s almost magical stopping power was the only reason to load .357 instead of .38 Special +P ammunition into a fighting revolver chambered for the Magnum round. I agree. - Massad Ayoob

Paradoxically it is those who strive for self-reliance, who remain vigilant and ready to help others.

The unfortunate reality is the "shooting press" seems wedded to the three year hobby life marketing strategy, as are their advertisers. Further, the current trend in general interest shooting or hunting publications is toward the "sound-bite" article; that is very short with lots of pictures.  :shrug

I can't seem to find it right now, but I'm sure I've seen a video of Jerry Miculek reloading a revolver st speed, then demonstrating slow enough for us mere mortals to follow.
