I love the 17 HMR.  It's hell on crows too...
CaliforniaOf course I carry a gun!  It gives me a chance against the sinners and protection from the righteous.

or put some Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga on the PA with speakers on high.   that ought to run the little pests off.   :thumbup1

    Absolutely not.
I won't pollute my stereo with that crap.

I did get the second little guy this morning.
I was coming out of the bathroom after my shower and saw the four legged home invader peaking out from under the door to the kids room.
I opened the door just in time to see him run inside one of #1 son's rain boots.
I stuffed a towel over the top of the boot and carried him outside to my storage shed where I grabbed the machete and proceeded to chop him in half.

Maybe not as wrong as you might think...  I have shot groundhogs and other assorted varmints with: a Sig P6 and P228, Beretta 92, KT PF9, Walther PPK, and a Springfield 1911 - in addition to the ones shot with long arms.

So, yeah, a Baby Glock should be just the thing.  >:D

Jesus, I hope you didn't wreck your kid's boot.  That could be upsetting.

    Goodness no.
    The "fireman" boot is fine.
I dumped the critter on the ground before the chopping began.

my grandpa used to pay us a bounty on birds cause he hated bird poo on his buick...
Using the lessons I've gleaned from Zombie movies, I would recommend you have at least one round of ammunition per person currently living within a 30 mile radius of your location...

This all reminds me of strangelittleman at around 13 years old (circa 1980) in the old mouse infested house we grew up in. He had fashioned himself a shoulder holster for his pump up BB/pellet pistol; he had seen one on a cop show I'm sure. I don't know what make or model the pistol was but it was brown plastic simulated wood and pumped up like a mo'fo'. He would lay in wait for mice and gun them. My clearest memory of it was one he chased under a china cabinet and splattered. I used to have a photo of him holding that little bastage up by the tail as well a similar one of a huge snake he was holding up out in front of the house.

Dad remarked drily, "Damn, that boy's a killer."

I seem to remember the pistol as a single-shot, pump Crossman1377 (?) and it would pupmp up to 10 pumps and was wicked powerful, especially when you put the pellet in the chamber skirt-first, man would it expand and just destroy a snake head or a mouse skull....It would just shut them down instantly, DRT.
