Standard Disclosure, I teach for Karl at KRTraining. Have been since 96ish. We teach everything from Basic Pistol to some pretty high speed low drag classes and a bunch in between including Force on Force classes where your opponent walks talks and shoots back if needed. The basic concept is that most people cannot afford to take a week off and go to one of the big schools. We've been and have condensed the information down to drinking from a fire hose and offer classes on the weekends when most people can afford to make it. We get people up from Houston all the time for class so have a look and see if it would be something you're interested in.

FYI, one of the students from our early classes years ago wrote out his thoughts http://www.krtraining.com/KRTraining/ATphotos/PTB/at.html as the class progressed and made them into a Usenet Posting (remember those kids?). It's a pretty good synopsis of our push to train people about when to shoot as much as how to shoot.

We have since changed our class schedule around to make classes more friendly to people who only want to take a half day or whole day instead of a very long weekend.

I will check both sites and see what fits my schedule and purpose.  My wife is also interested in attending a class, not necessarily a co-ed class.  I am sure I could look but is there anything women specific, ie. self defense/protection with or without a handgun offered?  She currently does not have her CHL, she will in or about 90 days, so can she even attend a class that involves a handgun?
