Not a bad training target system.

I like that.

So simple.

A better hit visual (contrasting color after hit, for example) would be about the only improvement I can think of.

I think everybody needs those - whether they know it yet or not.

I think I'm going to order a bunch and use them for the May 26th Defensive Pistol class.  I think our old Zombie Targets will go away.  I like the replaceable sections on these.

Zombie targets with replaceable hit locations, and brighter "hit" visual?

Here is the link to the store http://www.myutahccw.com/products/. We have thought about some zombie versions, but I wonder if the zombie craze has passed.

Erm.  My antivirus threw an alert on your link : Exploit/JS:Blacole.CH - maybe from your server, maybe from the adserver you link to.

Yup.  My AV blocked it... There is a problem on that site.

I'm thinking we even rename your zombie drill. It's a fantastic drill but zombies are, like you said, overdone.

This is a cool system.  For a small raise in the price of a class, this system looks like it would add a ton of options.

Great system.

I wonder if you can get your money's worth out of it in a one-day course.

Cardboard must be replaced, but targets for the whole class plus a roll or two of masking tape to cover the holes gotta be cheaper than this.

Make a $200 class $220?  Put 600 to 800 rounds into it?  On the outside it doesn't sound bad.

Yeah, but after a hundred rounds on each layer, you can't really see where your hits are going. If you have some folks who can shoot well, you'll just eat out the center of each target.

I know what you're saying.  But to my mind, if the vital zone of your target is eaten out and you're not producing holes in there peripheral area (ie. missing) during further shooting, then you're still putting rounds in the right place for defensive shooting, eh?  Do you really need to see a hole for every shot?

I prefer to.

Afterwards, anyway. I never look for my hits when I'm shooting, but I like to bring the target back or go downrange and see where I hit. It helps in learning to call your shots.

I'm getting more skeptical on these. They're on to something with them for sure. However...

I just don't see paying $20 for one target that I'm going to intentionally destroy and throw away when I can buy 50 cardboard IPSC (silhouette) targets and a roll of masking tape for less.

I'm just not seeing the advantage to the expensive ones. :shrug

There isn't any to YOU buying them.

But for an instructor teaching a high-level class, it's easy to roll the price in to the class fee and it adds to the air of professionalism.

Like it or not, aesthetics matter.
