Aims Surplus has M44s for $169.  Good price?

That would be a great price if they weren't sold out  ;)

Not right now. I was looking at Aim for something else and saw the M44.  I didn't look close enough at it but I thought I'd ask about the price.

I should have bought every M44 they had at the Harrisburg Gun Show a few years back. Everyone had crates of them, no one wanted to pack 'em up. Prices started out in the 90s and were in the 50s when I left. With an M44.

The thing is these are great rifles!
I own an M91/30 and love it!
Cheap Defensive rifle cause what it shoots will go through everything!
    So...not a bad choice.
Just don't know about the 1895 Revolver.
    Is it a good gun?

I sorta wanted one....however when the price went over $150 I went "eh".   I've got a M38, and for the cash I'll buy another M91/30 and another crate of ammo  :D

    1895 pistol? Not so much a great gun as a good conversation piece...for a 100 bucks it's a nice "accessory" for a 91/30 or M44....now the Tokarev...still a valid defensive pistol

Yeah, I think those M-44s have been sold out for a week.

It may sound crazy, but I paid nearly $300 for my 91/59.  But for a Mosin with a shiny bore whose rifling I can see all the way to the end, yeah--it was kinda worth it to me.

I know 91/59 arent as common, so I dont actually know what they're worth--but with M-38s selling at around $250, maybe $275 wasnt bad.

Not really a bad price for a '59 in good shape - I picked up one in a pawn shop a couple of years back for $110.00 but someone had sanded the fire out of the stock.  In lieu of the 44s the T53s are great.  My best shooting rifle is a 1955 T53 - ugly; but deadly.  Got a Finn M27 in another pawn shop for $100.00 - great shooter.  Can't go wrong with the rifle that chased the Mauser from Stalingrad all the way back to Berlin. :coffee

The 1895 pistol is a fun "plinker". The recessed bullet in the case is a conversation starter. I've got a Tula 1943. Wonder if used by nkvd or equivalent. Not much use except for shooting "running dog facist coward baby killers" in the back of the head.

    back in stock now   :)

    now 189.00   ::)

check out Southern Ohio Guns, they have Chinese Type 53's for $100, copy of a M44< mine was rough but functioning, got her cleaned up after a good afternoons work...stock looked crappy, all dried out and had a broken off lower part of the butt that was nailed on....Stripped it with stripper and mineral spirits, sanded with steel wool, set the broken butt with wood glue and a vice, restained and it looks worn but decent...

189 has been a good price for an M-44 as of late, even this past spring.

I'm putting in for a C&R right now.  I'll almost certainly be too late for this sale, but going forward at least I'll have it.

Don't have to tell me twice.
