SBR Guidance
Nick Cage:
I've recently turned my paperwork for a constitution infringement stamp so I can build an SBR out of an AR-15 lower without the ATF having a problem with it.
Since the infringement by the NFA is about to get worse with 41p I want to get at least one more SBR registered before July.
My problem is deciding what to get! I'm not nearly as concerned by the cool factor as the practicality of the rifle. I don't know that I need to get another AR lower registered up but I've been looking for alternatives. I've been leaning towards either an AK or CMMG Mutant SBR as the 7.62x39 cartridge does well out of short barrels. Also have been looking at those fancy MP5k clones that came out recently.
Anyhow I'm open to advice. Thanks!

Hard to go wrong with a 9mm AR lower whether it uses the colt style mags or Glock mags. Though with Magpul releasing 22 and 27? rounder Glock compatible magazines, that may be the way to go.

That is definitely in the running. Ammo availability and price means I'd shoot it more for sure.

If I were to SBR, I'd just do some type of AR Lower. That way I have many more options down the road, whether it was a .300 blackout, 9mm, or 5.56. The flexibility of the AR is what appeals to me.
Nick Cage:
Yes, I've already got one AR-15 lower in the Form 1 process.
I'm thinking more strongly about a dedicated 9mm lower, probably one of the glock mag compatible models.
