H&R .410 pistol 1930's?
« on: June 24, 2012, 12:48:36 AM »
I had a guy ask me how he should go about selling his grandfathers pistol a couple of days ago, and apparently it is an H&R .410 pistol. I believe it was manufactured around 1930. I believe this type of gun would be regulated :hmm. I don't know if he has paperwork, (grandfathered in), or if that's possible if it isn't. I don't know where to begin and obviously nobody wants to break any laws.
     Anybody got any ideas?

Yikes. If he doesn't have any paperwork it's going to need to be converted to a legal configuration until it can be registered as an AOW.

The simplest and most easily reversed option might be to pull off the barrel and sell it to a friend who can sell it back once the paperwork is done. Might want to double check that that would satisfy the legal requirements.

sorry it took so long to reply JesseL, I been workin' something fierce. I appreciate the info. I told him what I thought it could be, (and quite obviously) anything that I am not sure is Kosher means I don't even want to look at it, let alone get creative with. If I have a single doubt that means there is no doubt. I know a couple of really good class 3's I referred him to. Thank you for your time :thumbup1
