WTS: Spanish Mauser FR-8
« on: March 07, 2016, 04:49:26 pm »
Hi folks -

I've decided to sell my FR-8 carbine, with accompanying kit (10 stripper clips, bayonet & sheath, and sling).

I paid $275 for the rifle, $25 for the bayonet, and probably $25 for the clips and sling, combined.  So, $325, plus shipping.  $375, and I'll include a nicely padded Allen rifle bag for safekeeping during the transfer.  The action is smooth, the bore is clean, and the rifle is a tack driver.  I also have a few hundred rounds of ammo for it we can negotiate, if you are so inclined, but shipping on it is likely to get heavy.  I have alot more pictures, just PM me for a link.

Other shots, range report, miscellany...

Man that is tempting.  Wish I would have known you were selling it, I could have stopped by and looked at it when I was in Georgia last week.   I wasn't too far from you.

That would look mighty sharp beside my CETME in the gun cabinet. If you had caught me with disposable income it would have been a sweet impulse buy.

If you were local and I didn't have to tack on another $50 in shipping and transfer fees, I would definitely jump on it.  That is a decent price on a neat rifle.

I forgot to mention I also have the sight-adjustment tool (not like that'll make y'all all of a sudden go "Well, *NOW* we're talkin'!"...)  :rotfl

Maybe it would, actually.  The one thread said you used a 6 oclock hold to get centered shots at 25.  Now maybe that was because it was sighted in at 200 or something?  Is that adjustable?

Still a decent price, even with shipping.  Dealer fees may vary... ::)

It is adjustable. I haven't touched it, as I didn't want to screw with the windage.  I have a PDF regarding adjusting the sight I'll email to the buyer.

Unfortunately, I was working 6pm to 6am at our plant in Newnan.  Didn't really get a lot of good eating stops since everything was closed when I was up.   I did enjoy the fried chicken with biscuits and gravy the hotel had on the breakfast bar, though.

I should be down there again around labor day for Dragoncon.
