I'm taking the Beretta off the market, pending an agreement.  If anything changes, I will update this thread.

     :thumbup1   Good to hear.

Just outta curiosity: why were you selling it?  Thought you liked the beretta?

Thanks for asking, Grant  :cool. I was tempted to do the same, but was going to let it slide.

Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.

Well I figure it has something to do with the stone-cold logic he shows to guns  :neener

That's how I got two great little .38 S&W's from him  :cool

So I can replace it with a similar Beretta.  That is why I can wait a while to get paid for it.

Getting a compact? Or maybe same model, just inox, or.... ?

He could be.... I'm not sure, that's why I asked  :shrug.

I wish they made a 92 G that was compact  :banghead.

I think you ruined me by selling me that Sig, Grant. Now I just want more of them. Or anything DA/SA. It really made quite the impression on me  :cool.

Also when do you want your holster back  :-[. I swear I'm not trying to steal it from you, I just.... School...

We'll be on break soon, so I'll have some time, if you are dying to have it back already  :cool.

Since we drifted quite a bit already, why not just buy the holster off of Grant, if he no longer has the pistol it fits?

Cos it's for his P226  :facepalm and we agreed that it was just hanging out with me, not staying with me.

It was purely by his kindness and grace that I got it for a bit  :cool.

It's actually really cool. I think it's one of Luke's earlier holsters or something? It has one metal and one plastic clip. It's different from the others.

It came with two plastic clips, the early fragile design. I broke one and put a new metal one in it's place.

Yeah, no worries.   I like it, it's a good quality holster for my 226, however I rarely carry it and I've pretty much fully went to OWB style holsters.

    Thanks Grant!  :cool

I didn't think you would be so cruel as to make me go back to being undergunned with only 14 rounds of .357 magnum at my disposal for concealed carry  :P.

I reckon I'll bug you about it again (by PM next time) around summer break, to see if you want it back.

Isn't that 92G Brigadier by Wilson Combat basically a 92G compact?

That is correct! But I believe it was a limited run and the price was outrageous, wasn't it?

Not so bad considering the work that was done on it vs a stock gun.  I actually toyed with the idea of picking one up to see if I could be made to somehow like the Beretta 92 design, but I put it off to long and they were all gone.  Ended up buying a compact 1911 from T instead.   :coffee

My Beretta 96 was my first 'real' pistol. So the design holds a dear place in my heart. I had 5 or so pistols/revolvers before the Beretta, but the Beretta was the one I chose to carry first full time.

I carried it, trained and shot lots of local competitions with the Beretta 92 design family. My log book says my first Beretta has 32,750 or so rounds through it. Which seems like way more than I remember, but I shot the pee out of that thing every weekend for a few years there.

That first Beretta is up there next to my Colt Python for never leaving my ownership. The Colt Python only means more because it was handed to me by a good man when I was 15. Which to me at the time seemed like how a family heirloom sword would be handled.

Yes, but you were first, and I did offer a delayed payment option.  I once had someone 'finance' a gun for me - one that I really wanted, and could not afford - so I am extending a similar courtesy.

Of course, if your situation changes (which happens) and you are starting to think the Beretta is not a good idea...  PM me and I will look for others to buy.

Plebian, don't say something that you might regret some time later.  If you are being offered some type of payment plan then take advantage of that until you can either no longer honor it or no longer want it.  When it comes to that then I'm hoping to be next in line to put down my offer.

I am going to have to back out of the deal. It hurts me more than being gut kicked to back out, but I cannot spend money I do not have. Emotional attachment and an amazing deal kicked the rational side of me right in the family jewels.

The wife ordered a new big screen TV for 'our' Christmas. It was a surprise. That I get to pay for myself. Which is the best kind it seems.

Hopefully Kaso can move the gun to someone with more funds and a greater need than myself.
