If you start driving now, you should be able to make it with plenty of time to spare.

That will give my lovely bride WAY too much time to boobytrap the house for my return.
Unexpected cross-country trips (especially ones she doesn't go on) make her a tad testy.

I'm signing at Jordan Landing from 12:30-2:30 and Layton from 4-8. There's pretty much no way I can make it to Provo during that. You guys have fun and shoot something for me.

I've got a lunch date at 11:00. (basically I told all the fans where I'm eating lunch before the signing so they can swing by and say hi, Thai Delight at 6200 S and Bangerter).

You guys are more than welcome to come and swamp the place.

I love skeet but I suck at it.  If it's there, I'd love to try it again.  $5.50 seems reasonable.  Do you know how what you get for the $5.50?  20 Clays?

I don't do skeet... It's the only shooting discipline that I don't do.

I gotta decide what guns I want to bring so I know what to get in the way of ammo  

I've got 3 shotguns so you don't need to bring those.

Plastic yard signs like they use during election make excellent target backers.  Target holding frames is where we'll be short.

As far as what guns exactly to bring?  The longest range is 100 yards, and the pistol bay is pretty wide.  Meaning I'd mostly to leave the scoped bolt actions at home, unless you're trying for dime size groups at 100. Or, if that is your intent, that's fine, but we won't shut the range down every five minutes to check groups, so bring a spotting scope. I think most of our crowd will lean towards training/combat style stuff rather than bench work.  I suspect it'll be a little rowdy to do serious bench rest stuff anyway.


The biggest key will be portable stands, bring 'em if you have 'em. 

No shade except right on the firing line, so if you want to sit and relax without muzzle blast, bring some pop-ups and lawn chairs.  Bring snacks/liquids as well, there is no concession stand.

Yeah, but we're already going ~700 miles and haven't nailed down any plans for Sunday, sooo... we'll see 

I have three home made wood target stands that I will be bringing. Have a range kit with staple gun, some basic tools, spray adhesive, etc. For noise makers I am planning on bringing an M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, Ruger 10/22, Smith & Wesson M&P 9, Smith & Wesson 327 TRR8, Colt Commander, CZ-82, Makarov PM, and whatever else I can fit in the car. Everyone is welcome to try out whatever catches their eye.
