I was told to drop by this forum by a friend of mine.

I like to archery hunt, rifle hunt, shoot guns, and sometimes go fishing.

I have a muzzleloader buck tag coming up on Nov 22nd so I hope I can fill that tag with a nice whitetail buck.

I shot my first Antelope buck this year (had to wait 11 yrs for the tag) at 250 yds out with my Rem 700 .308 VSF. I had to shoot downhill into this canyon as the buck stopped quartered away from me. I sent a Hornady 168gr match BTHP his way and had it go thru his right lung and heart. The buck turned a 180 and ran around the knob he was standing on, but when my best friend and I went down to see where he was, he was laying dead not 10 yds from where I shot him.

It was a great day to be able to fill that tag!

Howdy, folks.  My name is Mike, and I am indeed a barbarian.  I have two ex-wives who will attest to that.  Glad to see the forum, looks to be a good one.  God bless every one of ya.

    Howdy from North Texas!

I'll update the profile in a few.  Found this place from THR.us

I'm kind of a jack of all trades I guess.  I'm in IT, running UNIX/eCommerce sites.  Also in to shooting, astronomy, motorcycles, brewing beer and mead, and probably a lot more I'm forgetting...

Another from the High Road.us...always need another RKBA board.

I'm 41, live in Lubbock, TX, am a frustrated chef, shooter, hunter (when I find some time and place), football fan, dogmatic conserva-libertarian, reloader, criminal defense lawyer, instructor, blah blah blah

Enjoy the board its great to be here

Stopping over after seeing the link on one of the two THRs the other day.  I meant to come over sooner, but I already spend too much time on yahoo!answers hunting catagory (because a gun catagory would be too un-PC) plus THR

Hi everyone, I'm a THR.us refugee as well, however, I admit I still search their site for technical help until this one builds that kind of database. I guess I should post those questions here to start the knowledge base building though huh?

Anyway, I'm a 21 year old college student in Dayton, Ohio area who enjoys shooting and hunting (bow, shotgun, and muzzle loader).

I'm a huge Sig/Mossberg/Diamond fan (My first and only bow is a Diamond Black Ice)

Good to be here and thanks FBMG/Mad Ogre for doing this for us!

As Obama says, "It's time for a change ..." (Not that I'm an Obama fan, quite the contrary, actually.)  So here I am.  At any rate, I'm known as "Old Dog" on THR, 1911 Forum and a couple others ... so, I'm changing usernames as well.  Retired military, currently working in law enforcement, 1911 aficianado, big fan of big dogs, big cigars, big trucks and big glasses of malt beverages ...

    Welcome New Folks!

Did any of you new folks happen to bring any Dr. Pepper?
    Chocolate Chip Cookies?
    Frito's & Bean Dip?

    <stomach munchy grumbles>

    Just wondering is all...
I mean this might be a gun forum and all, it don't mean you cannot talk of food, eats, munchies and "hankerings for".

    Welcome New Folks!

You get "applaud" Karma points if you brought cookies, or choose to distract and impede grampster so I can run and get them cookies Lynn made.

Double applause if you brought cookies and distract and impede grampster.
