I'm still debating weather Cali is better than MX, the highways... er miiiiight be.

I hated San Fran, Los Angeles, and only liked San Diego marginally.

The best place was Palm Springs and since I'm in the desert, yeah, I'd rather go on and drive all the way to AZ.

Is it just me, or does that sling look like the one on my No.4 rifle?

Its not just you. The L1A1 sling was little changed from a SMLE sling. There is hardly any difference if there even is any.

I love that holster. I just wish I could get the same thing with a belt loop instead of those metal hangers for military pistol belt. Or find a military pistol belt that is worth a crap where the little metal rings were the pistol belt hangs don't fall out.  :facepalm

A some what better picture with the holster.

I love that old style leather flap holster too. I'm also a fan of the Bianchi UM84 flap holster. I carry it exclusively when out in the field. I have used the Safariland 6004-style holster but I always go back to the UM84 when in the wilds of WNC. The pistol is my backup and needs to still be there when I need it. I bet Luke Adams could customize something without the metal hooks/rings.

I love flap holsters :thumbup1  With a little practice not super-slow and WAY more protective of your handgun, not an unimportant concern.

Nice hat too, I gotta get one now  :cool

El Paso Saddlery sell a hanger. It's a leather "belt loop" with the holes for the holster hanger. Made to slide onto a leather belt with no holes and allow use of those holsters.

Good idea. If you want to do something like that do you just start a new thread in his area or PM him or what?

BTW where did you get the hat?

I don't remember I have had it for a long time, probably ordered it out of some place in Sydney I would guess. Lawarance ordanace would be my guess off the top of my head. I have a couple of them. Great hat I love it.

Right on the money there.

Thanks there 1911 hanger looks to be exactly what I need! Price looks good too. I think I will have to order that before deciding if I want ot try and have some one modify the holster.

Pacafic canvas and leather is where I got the holster if I remember right. I have had it for..... :hmm

I don't know  :shrug longer than my slouch hat.

Some thing like that would be about ideal. Except I would want the hanger above the swivle part. Though what you have there looks like it would work great to if not better.
