Whoa a 1015$ for it. So they want 706$ for removing of bayonete lug and barrel threading?

and I see they lowered prices, I bought mine for 6800 CZK , January 2007

I wonder how they could sell a piece in competion with 300-400$ AKs.
Vz.58 is a very good assault rifle, robust, light, reliable and beter made then the AK.
Unfortunetly the castration of selective fire trigger mechanism to semi-auto only, brings some reliability issues.
Time to time, depends on piece and tolerancies, the striker isn't caught in armed position due to missing dent of full auto sear. The gun chambers a new round, but the sriker remain in forward position like after shot, so you pull the trigger, and no boom.
I know for sure that this NEVER hapen to full-auto version Vz.58

My gun does this after some shootin aprox. after 100-150 rounds fired and some residues of carbon get into reciever. Typicaly this failure occures 2-5 times during a afternoon at the range.

I wonder if some US owner have similar experience.

Me too, although I regret not learning to shoot handguns right-handed. It might have been easier.
